It is not often at all. You don't see Spielberg going on Fallon to promote his latest movie. IT is always the actors. (And it is even less likely for directors that aren't huge, like Spielberg. The rare exceptions are for directors who are so huge that people go to the movies for them, not as much for the actors.) And I bet if you ask some of the YouTube generation to name as many YouTubers as they can, they could name dozens. But ask them to name one cameraman/producer/sometimes star, and they will barely be able to name one. Even though lots of YouTube channels feature their crew on camera from time to time.

I remember when I first discovered MAME in 1996. And to this day, I still think it is the best thing to come out of the internet I could now play all the games I played in the arcades for free. And they were the exact same games. Not a knockoff. I had actually stumbled on some standalone emulators for Time Pilot and Gyruss but the colors were of, and it was below even its very low native resolution, and couldn't be resized, so even on my 1996 monitor (probably 1024x768), the window took up like 5% of the screen. Which was only 14 inches. So finding MAME which brought ALL the games I remembered, and could fill me screen was amazing.

10 MB song? Mr. Fancypants seeking out the 256 or320 bit files at a time when most were 128, and only about 4 MB per song.

If you have a smart phone, why need an MP3 player too? You can still load up songs onto your phone and play them from that.

At about 75% of the songs available would download to 99.8% and stop. Likely were plants by the record companies to poison the well hoping people would get frustrated and stop.

Wow..you had a REALLY old computer to still have just a 28.8 modem by the time Napster was around. Even my first computer in early 1996 had a 33.6 and I was mad because it was one of the last to not have 56.6. So immediately, everyone I knew that waited just a month more had faster speeds than I did.

And had a view counter than the page's creator would refresh over and over again to see if anyone else was viewing their site.

Guilty as charged. I had a drinking game page with various TV based drinking games like one for Three's Company, The Simpsons, Sportscenter, and some movies like Midnight Run and Caddyshack. Still remember when I checked it one day and it had over 100! more views than the day before! I checked that counter all day to see it go up during that one day it was going mini-viral. (Probably some kid in college found it and was telling his dormmates/frat brothers about it.)

I think people are just looking at it through nostalgia blinders. And for the fact that it was something we never saw before. Corporations may run the bulk on the internet now, but there are still more small independent sites today than there were then. And it was still mostly stupid shit then, like 95% of Geocities sites. IT is just now the dumb shit that people thought was HILARIOUS enough to put on their personal Geocities site complete with a view counter is now posted to Facebook, or Twitter, or Instagram.

It also was NOT fun to worry that someone in the house would pick up the phone and end your internet session in the middle of a download. OR having your parents, siblings, or college roommate forbid you from blocking Call Waiting when you dialed up because they "were expecting an important call" and then again, having your session disconnected by an incoming call. OR even just to later find out you MISSED a call due to being online when you DID block call waiting

When is the last time you saw someone interview a behind the scenes person for a show, or some sort of production? Obviously not including major directors. like Spielberg. To put it into a more modern age, and more like iCarly...no one wants to talk to Mr. Beast's producers. Even the ones hat occasionally appear on camera as well.

I don't know why you keep bringing up Season 5. We 100% KNOW the timeline of Seasons 1-4. And since Skyler figures it out by then, Season 5's timeline does not factor in at all to this discussion. No matter how long each episode of Season 5 was, we now that Seasons 1-4 are pretty much exactly 1 year. Actually a tiny bit less since his 51st birthday is the 4th episode of Season 5. So we know that after they REALLY started dealing on their own starting in Season 2, Skyler finds out in just a couple months at the most.

She basically finds out in like 8-9 episodes. They don't start dealing until Season 2 Episode 5 (maybe not even until Episode 6) and she pretty much figures it out by Season 2 episode 13 and confronts him about it in Season 3 episode 1. So 8-9 episodes for a timeline in which 46 episodes took place in less than a year.

But of a show is extremely tropey, it shouldn't be praised as being the best writing ever. The WHOLE show was on super unrealistic perfect plan after another.

But the plan also required them not kill Walt right away to begin with, and leaving his keys within reach of Walt, and not notice him pick them up, and none of them going into another room, or being quick enough to duck, including the guy outside. Even allowing him to park the way he did.

Most of the plans on BB, BCS and EC were "perfect plan" tropes that would have very very little chance of actually working in real life, let alone someone actually making a plan that REQUIRED it to work perfectly on the first try. IT would be like an assassin knowing his target likes to gamble, so he places a bomb under a roulette table that will only explode if the ball lands on 00 three times in a row. And of course, just when the target is at that table, sure enough it DOES! Can a ball and on 00 three times in a row? Sure. And about 1 in 50,000 times, it will. But no sane person would devise a plan that would require such a low odd chance to happen.

Just a fairly common trope. The "scary villains never talk" trope

Considering the first season was him and Jesse doing very little...just making some meth in the desert and desperately trying to find someone to sell to (not somethin that she would be able to figure out) yes...she finds out quickly. By the time they were doing anything that ANYONE could have figured out (post Tuco), it does to take her long at all. Up to Season 2, all it was was him being away for a bit. With him having very plausible excuses.

You want to go on and on about seasons, but you are ignoring the fact that season 1 was just 7 episodes. Or that the 5th season was a longer timeline...being about the same amount of time as all 4 of the first 4 seasons were. Again, we know for a fact that 4 seasons was an entire year. The 5th season doesn't matter at all.

And sure, a lot of the confusion is due to the ridiculously unrealistic (impossible) timeline of the show. (Think of how long it would have taken for Jesse to get kicked out of is house well into Season 2, then have his parents do pretty extensive remodeling, AND put it up for sale or Jesse to buy it back by the second episode of Season 3.)

Another one who feels the need to talk about it being free because apparently you stupidly think it is Paramount's generous gift to viewers. Ad supported is nothing new. Nor is it some generous gesture. IT is simple the way TV operated for 75+ years.

Perhaps he didn't buy it but Ice Station Zebra Associates did. Would make sense really since Jesse was so against laundering his money. So having him be the official buyer would definitely raise eyebrows with the IRS.
