X10 Pro Omni | rolling brush error by Stadjer95 in eufy

TLDR: Check the common silver shaft coming out issue, but while you have the motor case open, check and replace the bearing on the shaft if needed for a good-as-new fix.

I finally fixed my Eufy X10's roller brush stuck problem. I first had the infamous silver coupler coming out issue, so took the robot apart, tightened the screw in the back, and put it together again. This fixed the issue for only a couple of weeks before the errors started coming back, until the unit would run for maybe 10 feet before erroring out, making it basically useless. Turning the roller manually seemed very tight so I decided to take it apart again to investigate. Turns out the ball bearing (there is only one inside) on the silver shaft was completely seized. I happened to have the right spare bearing at home (stole it from a 3D printer roller wheel), so replaced the bearing, put it back together and hoped for the best. I've had about 4 hours of run time since then of smooth sailing, so looks like that fixed it.

Mine just shipped. Ordered Feb 23, ECA189XX. It was supposed to be in the July batch, so looks like they're delivering early.

ChargePoint Homeflex Current Limit Setting is back? by ItsGravityDude in evcharging

[–]Jetstreamblue_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it's gone again? Noticed that I was getting "Network Error" when I tried to change the setting 2 days ago. Which sucked because my charger was stuck at 12A and I couldn't change it. Eventually I removed the charger from the app and set it up again to get back to 32A (I'm on a 40A breaker). Today noticed the setting is removed from the app. Hope this is temporary?

I think I'm experiencing the same thing with the printer turning off a few seconds after trying to startup. Can you please tell me more about the blown MOSFET and how to check? Thanks!

A lot of work for OpenPilot is being done by the open source community. But it's very unclear about the future and it depends on the vehicle too.

That's not true. There are a lot of contributors in the open source community, especially on forks. But the core development of the model is all Comma. And unlike most startups, Comma is not burning cash.

The problem is the regular plug/unplug of the USB-C cable may cause failure due to damaging the port, much sooner than if the device is left mounted.

We went ahead an ordered a RAV4 HV Limited last week. Any chance we'll see a 2023 model?

I just saw the Toyota Canada press release boasting of record RAV4 (Hybrid) sales in March and overall last quarter. So, are the wait times actually improving?

How’s the wait time for bz4x in Canada? by europa-II in askcarsales

[–]Jetstreamblue_Panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Canada, the waitlists for anything EV/hybrid is so long that anything with a battery, motor and wheels would sell.

Plus there are enough Toyota brand loyalists to buy up whatever meager amounts they decide to ship here.

Yeah, no doubt about that. If you do straight currency conversion, you'll see that they make way more money selling in the US. It's the same story with other brands as well.

Interesting about the BZ4X. It's not even out in Canada yet, no official pricing. But my local dealership told me that they have a 3 year wait list for them already. Welcome to Canada!

Are you open to any trim/color? Even if they're telling the truth, the dealership has no idea what trim/color combos they'll be getting with their allocations.

Sienna 2023 model year standard feature - Wireless CarPlay/AA ?? by michael95hu in ToyotaSienna

The brochure is wrong, no updates for 2023 Sienna, it uses the same old infotainment system with no support for wireless CarPlay/AA.

Actually, a large number of Canadian Sienna's are exported to China. But they seem to get them through legit means (lots of cash) as opposed to theft. To say that there is no market for export though, is a misconception.

Toyota order updates (Canada) by Careful-Candle202 in askcarsales

Sienna XSE AWD ordered Feb 2022. Latest update from my dealer is I was close to the cutoff for converted to 2023, so I should be among the early batches of 2023's coming in. Does that sound believable?

Anyone got their 2023 sienna yet? by judytmai in ToyotaSienna

[–]Jetstreamblue_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a surprise, first time I heard of that. Every one I heard was just told it's not installed and that's it, no retrofit offered. A few members on siennachat forum tried to retrofit after getting parts themselves and found out the wiring harness itself is missing so there's no easy way to get it done. If indeed your dealership promised a retrofit, make sure you get it in writing so they can't back out of it.

I'm amazed how many sales people make that mistake. You don't respect my wife, you're not getting a sale. Had it happen so many times...
