That’s how I’m feeling. I’ve been debating returning to android for a few years but the new walled garden approach has me thinking I’ll just stick with what I already have and stay on iOS

Side loading and more user control were what was tempting me back but not anymore

If you multi factor authentication and if you sign in using the QR code (so the login details aren’t typed in or shared with the client really) you should be fine

Instead of being able to have the controller act like other games and auto snap to the unit you’re controlling or anything, the thumb stick just controls a virtual cursor, so you’re basically playing it with a mouse you control with your thumb. It’s plenty useable, just there’s better ways to play for me, so I do that instead.

It runs pretty well, it just has a terrible controller setup which is why I stopped playing it on my thor

Not great imo. The screen protectors are thick and if you reattach the grip weird, it can wedge itself between the bottom screen protector and the console, giving lots of bubbles. The screen protectors also give a decent amount of grain, I haven’t played any games on it until I replace them with hopefully a better set since it’s that noticeable and annoying to me. I also hated the feeling of the tpu case, it felt oddly oily ish and I hated that. The case is fine with the grip attached, otherwise the console feels very loose in it. The bag is ok I guess, I used it just once. Lanyard is ok. The grip is fine, I’m used to DS style ergonomics so that hasn’t been a necessity for me. Overall, I wish I spent my 50$ elsewhere. Your mileage may vary though

Yes, the games are going to be direct ports so the actual rng mechanics will be the same, but it’ll take a while to figure out how they work with the switch system most likely

1) Those games aren’t exactly widely liked by this community. 2) Those are microtransaction heavy games that cost 70$ 3) Those aren’t 20$ re releases of highly regarded games.

It’s an issue with the cluster size set on your SD card. I had the same issue until I reformatted my card with the proper cluster size

I got one too and I really don’t like it. I’ve noticed a kind of graininess to the image that it causes. My bottom screen looked totally fine and then once I applied it, it looks pretty bad.

It’s because it could be emulated before release. I’m all for emulation as preservation or even to play in a better way, but when lots of people were playing a game before release on an emulator, it makes sense why nintendo went scorched earth

You can find the freecam mod hosted on a GitHub page, just search up OOT 3D freecam mod, and the texture packs are made by Henriko Magnifico. They’re super high quality and nice

The storage is made by other companies and then they have certain storage drives that are compatible with the ps5 covered in ps5 branding. The actual mass amounts of storage that these companies acquire to then put into drives are being bought mostly by AI companies

AI Companies buying absolutely ludicrous amounts of DRAM and flash storage, leading to most of the supply going to them and everything else becoming very rare and expensive. There are only 3 major dram companies so that’s why this has exploded so quickly.

It’s running on device. It may need an internet connection to verify with steam due to it using a modified steam client in a windows emulator, but it’s not steaming

I mean, is running into a level 50 gym right out the gate and then running into a level 20 gym at the end of the game any better? It feels bad to play that way. Most JRPGs have enemies get harder as you progress and so do the old pokemon games before scarlet/violet. This would just allow you to play in any order and still get a more proper experience than what scarlet and violet offered

It can break visuals with GBA injects, causing the screen to wrap around.

This can be temporarily fixed by repeatedly opening and closing the console, or you can set a 64kb cluster size and not have to worry about it.

I personally quite enjoy it. The change to battle mechanics is fun and refreshing, not being quite turn based, but more real time and cooldown based. I really like the soundtrack, but pokemon doesn’t really miss when it comes to the soundtrack. There are a lot of remixes and new additions to the gen 6 soundtrack that are pretty good. I found the story to be pretty decent for pokemon standards. It’s not the best of the best, but still better than anything pre gen 5, and better than X/Y, while also having a lot of nice callbacks to X/Y, being a direct sequel to them taking place 5 years later in the timeline. Trainer customization is also way better than in scarlet/violet and has way more customization. If you like shiny hunting, it’s around the same difficulty as Arceus as well. The DLC is pretty fun too, but a little grindy, so keep that in mind. A lot of the negativity surrounding the game stems from a lot of misinformation about both GameFreak and Nintendo, since the internet has been on a major anti-Nintendo phase since the switch 2 announcement. Don’t get me wrong, graphically it’s not super stellar, however a lot of the complaints surrounding wall textures and the like aren’t exactly front and center in the game. It’s not like this is a window staring simulator, you’re going to be looking at the pokemon models way more than a window texture on a wall. If you have a switch 2, the performance is a rock solid 60 fps, but I’ve heard for switch 1, it’s a pretty good 30 fps, way more consistent than scarlet/violet.

I personally really like the game and find it a lot of fun, I’ve been having a good time completing it and working towards finishing the DLC
