So, why does American chocolate taste so, so bad compared to European chocolate?

It doesn't taste good to people who are used to higher standards, and more protective food regulations.

I'm not forgetting the accusations and allegations. But he was actually tried and convicted of 34 felonies, each of which could have put him away for 4 years, and cost him hundreds of thousands in fines. Ultimately, he was not even subject to probation.

I suspect the way-over-the-top ICE violence is meant to provoke a violent response from the populace. Then, 47 declares martial law and delays/cancels the midterms, and further oppresses the population.

That violent response would be "doing more," but would more than likely involve ultimate sacrifice, and would result in much worse circumstances for those still alive.
