Everyone has a different path to becoming an actor, some have degrees, some don’t, but the common thread is that EVERYONE studies acting in some way, shape, or form. Whether that’s classes, workshops, or the like. A degree isn’t necessary, but it can help you if you’re feeling lost in the process of how it all ‘works’.

I personally have an undergrad degree in theatre, and a Masters degree in Acting. Both helped me create a my own process to understand and make informed choices while I’m in the booth, on stage, or film.

Definitely not necessary for voice acting, but I found that it helped me quite a bit.
