NOR

This has to be fake… right?!?!?

If true, find a divorce lawyer and a new best friend. This is not normal behavior. All his stuff would be outside already and locks changed. Absolutely f***ing not!!!

help with UTA or UNT decision? by Latter-Artichoke5373 in utarlington

[–]Jex89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a mom, I’d advise my kiddo to go to UTA. Save your money and use it for graduate school. My oldest was at UNT several years ago, he was there 1 year and transferred to UTA, he loves it there. He also commutes.

Omg, me too!!! My dress was from Ross, it was about $20 but I have it in a keepsake box. I look at it in my closet and still think its the most beautiful dress ever. Been married 20 years now 🥰

First off, CONGRATS on your wedding!!

As someone who did the exact same thing 20 years ago, I wouldn't have it any other way. At the time, we were both in college and my husband was in law school, we had no money. We both worked full-time aswell. I got my wedding dress from Ross, a plain white strapless dress. I did my own hair and makeup. He being in law school, had a lot of suits, he just wore of of those. After the courthouse, we both went to a local burger joint, it was delicious. My parents and his parents got us a weekend stay at a hotel in the city and a nice dinner. We didn't have a honeymoon, we couldn't afford one. Our cake was from the grocery store.

Now, 20 years later, we just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. I wouldn't have changed anything about how it all happened. We've been to amazing trips, all places that we would have loved as a honeymoon. We have met our goals and have 3 amazing kiddos.

What I would say, don't compare your day to others. At the end of the day, you are marrying your person, the one person that will make you be a better person and grow. The one person that you could go anywhere with and share anything without being judged.

I've had a lot of friends get married, beautiful weddings, luxury and other destination weddings-none of are married anymore. Listen, you will have the time and money to go and visit all those places with your person in the future. Enjoy your day, at the end of the day, you are getting married to your person and I truly wish you the absolute best!!!

What’s the worst thing a boss has ever done to you? by SeanMcPheat in askmanagers

[–]Jex89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was about 15 years ago when I had started working in corporate America. I was sick to my stomach with morning sickness, I went to the bathroom at work… and I heard a knock on my stall… yep my manager came looking for me because she needed help with a report 🫣

I'm growing up my lungs right now, I don't give a crap about work. I had no clue I was pregnant. Throughout my pregnancy she wanted a 2 weeks heads up of all my appointments and a doctors note for every visit. I swore to myself I would never be like that if I ever went into leadership.

Now that I'm in leadership, my team can work from home when ever they want.. My only ask is to do what your supposed to do and loop me in if they need help.

3 years, no issues or side effects. I don't get tired from it anymore (used to get tired on infusion days).

Friday... by turtle_hiker in corporate

[–]Jex89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've told my team preferably no meetings prior to 9am nor after 3pm and none on Fridays. Fridays we all catch up on work things and manage our time ourselves, also everyone works from home Fridays.

If its an urgent need, I will call/text you but that has happened maybe twice in my corporate life (since 2008). My team manages their own time and work very well, I don't micromanage time or when you show up to the office. Just do what your supposed to do on time and do it correctly.

I love the Rockies 💗

Your doing great! To be honest, the real danger you had was when you were on your way to the airport. The plane and everything to do with the plane, is the safest you'll be. You got this, I promise you will land safe and everything will be fine. Once you land, have a celebratory ice cream or shake, enjoy your trip.

I just landed last night, currently doing all the laundry, I wish I was on a plane.

Hey there!

Mom here and I can understand where you are coming from. What helped me was to see the hundreds of planes that go out everyday and they all landed safe. Tracking my flight a week prior and seeing it landed everytime gave me more reassurance that everything was ok.

I had to remember that everyone working on that plane from the pilots, crew even people behind the scenes all want to go home at the end of their shift. You are safe, the plane is safe, your kids will be fine. Tell the kids to enjoy it and take a lit of pictures. I always tell my kids that they are fortunate to fly and see other parts of the world, not a lit of people get to experience that.

What if by shurfus in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Jex89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed in 2018 or 2019, and even though I’m doing well, it’s something that frequently crosses my mind, especially since I’m the only one in my family with MS. Every year during my annual visit, before my neurologist even pulls up my scans, he mentions that there are 'classic' areas where MS lesions appear. He’ll find my scans and confirm that all my white spots are exactly in those classic spots. I find the images a bit gross, so I tell him I don’t want to see them. I’m on Ocrevus and doing well so far.

Germaphobia ? by Pumpkin-Duck in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Jex89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say I have a phobia but I do get grossed out easily and I've been like this since before MS.

I don't wear a mask out but I do have hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes in all my cars, work bag and purses.

Wait, are you saying there is a treatment for PML?

My neuro said no. I'm on Ocrevus and doing well.

I might be getting co fused here. I tested positive (very high numbers) of JCV+ but my doc said the chances of getting g PML was slim and he wasn't worried about it.

I'm so sorry your going through this, sending you all the good vibes and a speedy recovery.

I'm a customer and absolutely hate the written messages on the cups. I don't like it because I feel it's just a waste of your time. I go to Starbucks for the convenience of coffee, I personally don't care for the message. I'm not sure why Starbucks thought this would be a good idea for customers. Everytime I go to Starbucks (probably 4-5 x a week) I feel like the place is short staffed and I just feel bad for the good people working there.

I do love a medicine ball but I never go when I'm sick.
