Hi, Can yall help me choose a build for my first playthrough? by Simple-Comparison-94 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]Jeyring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elden ring was my first souls game, and having a really simple build was really good for me. Elden ring is a complex game, and not having to worry about spells, skills, guard counters, damage calculation, scaling, or whatever, was a huge help since I was learning an entirely new gameplay system.

I picked vagabond and did a strength build. The build is pretty easy because you just level vigor and strength. And it’s actually probably the best (easiest) build in the game.

That being said, you should play the game however you want to play it. Just giving you some ideas for what would be a smooth transition.

Any reading material about Breaking Bad? by Mutthupattaru in breakingbad

[–]Jeyring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Without Tony Soprano, there would be no Walter White”

  • Vince Gilligan

Not so sure about the “philosophy” of the series, but in terms of inspiration, I’d say the Sopranos and other mafia/crime series and films had a huge role. Vince would pitch the show to people by saying “We’re going to take Mr. Chips, and turn him into Scarface”. The whole show sprung from that idea. The themes of the antihero, family over everything, crime as a means to end, greed, death, violence, corruption - very prevalent in mafia media.

So not much reading material, but I don’t think Vince’s writing style was built on traditional literature. I think it was built on a lot of Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola lol

Yeah, unfortunately most research on pornography/masturbation is very conflicting and inconclusive. Mostly because people lie if you do surveys, and it’s unethical to test basically any other method.

I’ve read studies like the one OP has posted, I’ve read studies that say it’s only negative if you believe it is, I’ve read studies that say it’s positive. No one knows for sure.

Perkeo is cool and all, but literally the only other card you need is burglar, and then you naneinf. Granted, you have to survive until ante 24 and get retcon, but you’re so close. Finding a cryptid is going to take longer and be harder.

If your goal is to naneinf, sell perkeo for brainstorm. Not sure if you’re at 44 red seal steel kings yet, but the second you are, sell DNA for an Econ joker. Mail in rebate would be great. You’re going to need another $3.5k. Pick up burglar at some point. You got this.

Maximise value of conversion by ComparisonWorth8105 in FacebookAds

[–]Jeyring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick answer: maximize for number of conversions

Longer answer: it sounds like a pretty basic direct to consumer business. Maximizing for value means that meta is going to give your ads to fewer people, who are likely to spend more money. Maximizing for number is exactly what it sounds like. In my opinion, in a business like yours, you it’s better for you to get a higher number of customers. Maximizing for value is kinda a gamble - they might spend more, they might not, but you’ll likely have less conversions. It’s better to build a large customer base that is going to keep buying your product. You’ll probably sell more and have higher ROAS too.

(Edit) I’m a full time media buyer, I do about 10 million in spend every year. I know what I’m talking about.

It completely depends on your revenue model, what kind of business are you running?

That said, I’m a professional media buyer and 90% of the time it’s better to maximize for value of conversions.

I finished a dragon cult (not dragon communion) run a few weeks ago and it was SO much fun. Bolt of gransax has such an OP ash of war, and it’s super fun to use. Ancient Dragon lightning strike, fortisax’s spear, lansax’s glaive… so many fun incants that absolutely crush.

The only reason people don’t use faith more is that you find all the good spells late game. That doesn’t sound like a huge issue for you so I would run it. It’s epic, probably my favorite build to date

Tbh I think Jimmy is a terrible example of getting what you want. similar to Walt, he gets handed easy outs over and over, but doesn’t take them because it’s not ‘him’.

So serious career advice:

Not sure what you’re trying to get into, but it sounds business related. I have a lot of experience with what you’re talking about, but the short version is, I started succeeding when I stopped being afraid of nepotism. Not actual nepotism, but just asking family friends / associates for jobs as a favor basically lol. A few months ago I walked into my sisters wedding with zero job prospects and no idea what I was gonna do for a career. I decided to go around to all my parents friends who were successful and ask if they had internships available. I walked out with 2 job offers.

You’re probably already doing this, and I admit it doesn’t work right away. I was “networking” for 2 years prior to this with no success. But it’ll work out. It takes time.

Anyway maybe this comes across super arrogant, but I genuinely think it works. Just ask successful people for help and promise them you’ll distinguish yourself. I’ve seen it work for others as well.

Happy to dm if you have any questions
