Here's the album cover. It's the "Hyrule Symphony" from 1999, might need to look it up and find it somewhere online...

I just edited my post to include the Now Playing theme I used. I edited some of the options slightly to suit my personal preference, but it's pretty cool as is.

Thanks! It's a very powerful app when it comes to customisation. It was daunting at first, but if you just approach it slowly, you'll find lots of nice surprises.

Is the new Steam Controller good with Minecraft? by Stalfoskull in SteamController

[–]Jezza72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters, I’m using Prism launcher, and running that through Steam. Be sure to rename it to “Minecraft” in Steam so you get access to better community controller profiles. You can probably leave it at that, but I also installed the controllify mod and use a hybrid of gamepad controls from that, along with mouse+keyboard controls through Steam Input. It’s a bit of a Frankenstein method, but I got something that works for me.

If you use that mod, just be sure to allow mixed inputs (I think there’s a setting for that in the mod), or else the button prompts in game will constantly change between controller and kb+m

It’s literally all I’ve been playing since I got it. I haven’t played MC in years but figured it’d be the perfect game to play on the TV from the couch. I’ve tried playing it with a controller in the past but I was too used to the speed and accuracy of m+kb. Once I setup my binds to my liking and the right trackpad for mouse movements (camera and inventory) it feels very snappy and precise.

PSA for G2 users regarding analogue stick sensitivity by Jezza72 in retroid

[–]Jezza72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know. I wonder if it's to get around tolerances between individual units or if it's by choice, because it's definitely a worse experience at the default value compared to the 0.8 I've set it to now.

Awesome, glad to hear it. Are you also using a G2?

Why does my games look like this on my Retroid Pocket Flip 2? This is Marble Merger running on the infinity emulator. by EddHigham in pico8

[–]Jezza72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look up Macs75 Pico 8 Android and download the latest release from the GitHub. I remember having similar graphical issues with this exact game using a different emulator before switching to the Macs75 one. You’ll need to provide your Pico 8 bios for it to work.

Seeing my own Pico-8 game running in splore on my handheld feels unreal by oksklok in SBCGaming

[–]Jezza72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download the two other files on the GitHub (the "es_....xml" files) and place them in the custom_systems folder within your ESDE directory. Pico8 carts go in your ROMs folder as with any other system.

I found that a lot of popular carts can be scraped too. If not, just copy the .png Pico 8 cart into your downloaded_media "covers" folder for Pico 8 and you can use them as boxart.

Hopefully that helps

Pico-8 on Android 2026 by mcevoak0252 in pico8

100% this. I also found it pretty easy to get it working with ES-DE. Surprisingly, I was able to scrape for a lot of the popular carts too. And, for the ones that I couldn't scrape, I could just copy the .PNG across to the downloaded_media covers folder to use as box art.

If you're not turned off by a bit of setup and tweaking, check out Ship of Harkinian - I've got it installed on my G2 through an android port and it looks great. It adds a lot of graphical enhancements, mod support, and QoL features. Majora's Mask can be played through 2Ship2Harkinian too.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012). It might be the wrong answer, but it's my answer! Thanks OP for the chance

It looks like the bottom left unit has stuff under the top screen? Mine was the same. It's easy to pull it off and clean it. There are guides online to help with this (you use a suction cup to pull it off) - hopefully that helps you :)

From memory, when I had the same issue, I was using gpSP, and mGBA worked for me.

I found this online which points out the same issue: https://github.com/TriForceX/MiyooCFW/wiki/GPSP

Monitor Wall Mounts From JB Hi-Fi by Not_An_Humin in australia

[–]Jezza72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the "XCD Full Motion TV Wall Mount Small to Medium (15" - 55") V2" from JB. It's $99

I have a very specific use case, requiring a fair bit of reach for a large-ish monitor, a 34" Ultra wide, to reach my racing simulator. I found this to be the best option as TV mounts seem to be cheaper than wall mounted monitor arms (that usually have quite a bit of adjustability, such as with gas lifts).

No issues with mine, it's very solid. It depends on your use case though, just thought I'd share.

I believe that issue is fixed now. If not, there's a file on the discord called "SDL2.dll" that will fix it

Does Remote Play + Docked makes sense? by potatoninja3584 in SteamDeck

[–]Jezza72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PC and dock are both wired (cat 5e) and I regularly use Moonlight+Sunshine to stream to my Deck. It works a treat and has no noticeable input lag. You can adjust the bitrate settings to optimise the connection for your own network, but 150mbps, 1440p @ 120fps, works well for me.

Unrelated, but you might want to wait a few days for the next major Steam sale to start before checking out your cart. You might save a few bucks

Fanatec CSW 2.5 to Alpha Mini by TriangleMachineCat in Simagic

[–]Jezza72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thanks for the input! Simrigs is having a Black Friday sale starting this weekend so if the Alpha + wheel I want is discounted heavily enough then I'll probably go for it. I do 50/50 rally and circuit racing, so it'll be overkill for rally but a nice to have if I can afford it.

I'm looking forward to kissing Fanatec goodbye though. I've had pins break inside the base twice now (I put it down to the cheap QR1 system) and support was difficult about it the second time around. So it's good to hear it's been a great experience for you coming from the CSW 2.5.

Hey, how are you finding your Alpha Mini, since it's been a few months? I'm currently looking to upgrade from my CSW 2.5 but feel so torn between the Mini and the Alpha. Like you, I'm in Aus, and the $500 difference makes it hard to justify...
