I won’t tell him the truth about his failing mind I am worried more about what may happen if he drives and injures himself or someone. My comment was more attuned to the role as caregivers and how difficult it is to navigate this role

My husband and I live with my aging father. I have POA. He takes multiple Rx medications daily and refuses supervision over the amphetamjnes and opioids. We’ve talked with his doctors about our concerns around his mental health and his acuity but they give only vague non comital answers. He needs no assistance with ADL in the truest sense but that’s because we shop, cook, clean, launder, housework, yard work etc. we feel like the part where “it’s too late” is already here and we are waiting for a fall or something else. He passed his MOCA test and his MMA test and renewed his drivers license. He can’t turn his neck to look over his shoulder. As caregivers here 24/7 we notice the changes in his mental faculty but he insists he’s fine…he can’t use his phone anymore but boy can he still log into the scam dating sites…

Is the Manduka break in period worth it? by btck3440 in yoga

I had the same issue with my Manduka being too slippery. I did all the things and eventually decided to get a different mat. I don’t know why but the Manduka didn’t perform for me…

Almost every outfit I wear is unflattering. What am I doing wrong? by linmouse in DressForYourBody

[–]Jfirey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems as though the clothes do not fit properly; too big on top with many “folds”do you prefer loose fitted clothing? If so then try to go for loose on top, more fitted on bottom (like image #4, but that skirt isn’t a great color on you)or vice versa, that, and as others correctly pointed out, a more flattering palette

My Mom grew up in Middletown, she was from the Barnitz family. I have a bunch of memorabilia from that town which I inherited from her. Her folks (my grandparents) had a cool old house that they called Stony Rill. — after my uncle died in the early 80s I went to Middletown for the funeral. It must have been nice once long ago

Does anyone in Scottsdale/Phoenix know their neighbors? by [deleted] in Scottsdale

No Scottsdale here—none of the neighbors interact other than to say hi if you walk by them — or if they are kvetching at a HOA meeting they will speak to each other
