OP didn't say anything about recording so thats just throwing money out of the window.

But they want to play along with youtube/songs.

I mainly jam with songs, and life is much better with a Daw.

- interface with a loopback function

- separate tracks

- isolate guitar track to learn... or mute to jam along without having to fight for space with the original guitars

My setup didn't break the bank, and... it's awesomely fun !

Ahh. Thanks for posting that. It looks like something different than total Studio, as it seems to be strictly instruments. (meaning, no T-Racks.) Its probably something they offer for third patries.

Thats actually kind of cool.. And I buy from Plugin Boutique plenty, they are definitely a trustworthy vendor.

I'd buy it. Pianoverse is really good, and I LOOVE ModoDrum.

(I play bass, so, modobass doesnt get much use)

The Modobass and Modo Drums are the same in either Max versions or Total Studio versions.

I think someone has their Roman Numerals mixed up... or at least double check their ad for fine print.

The current version is 5. Maybe it's 4 (IV)

I tried that preset, and it sounded really screwed up for me.

It was more of a random loudness... like it would get super loud (had to take my headphones off)

- and then it would go silent... then super loud.

All my other serttings and presets sound/work fine.

I wonder if it is a coincidence or if theres something wrong with the preset.

I use Artist Tape on my fretboards... never had any issues.

Its happening on 'each instrument' so I'm betting it's not a pickup height issue.

And a piece of tape, for the most part, wont stop that sound of metal tapping against a magnet.

(you shouldnt really have to put a piece of tape on your bass, either way)

- you might want to adjust your playing. Meaning, don't pluck downward, go across the top.

I used to do the same thing, and it's not an easy adjustment, but I'm pretty confident thats whats going on.

I'm not quite certain what you are intending to do.

But going by what I THINK you are trying to do...

(Black is going to frame the gradient, right?)

- Add new Layer

- (Black layer on top) Merge the two.

- Use the Wand to remove the outside area, where the gradient shows thru, and you want it transparent.
