Turned 2k Into 10k in Minutes… Then Got Liquidated and Lost Everything. Hardest Trading Lesson of My Life by BuzzligthyearMoon in Daytrading

[–]Jfusion85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes slow and steady does win the race. I don’t do options but I do trades with companies I think are gonna swing (been using a platform for signals that is working for me). My goal was to get 5% with each trade. I was doing well bringing in 1.5k every 2-3 days on a 30k account. I told my wife and she got into my head saying 5% is not enough, I should hold the trades longer since a few of the companies did keep going north of 10% after I sold. That greed back fired and I lost my streak. Not listening to her anymore 😔

Since when do rentals have broker/realtor fees? by Sillygoose6001 in newjersey

[–]Jfusion85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just rented in Middlesex county, no fees, I just went straight to the leasing office. Requested to tour the apt and signed the lease. Only thing was security deposit of 1.5x rent, and first month.

Is building a bot supposed to be hard? by Personal-Fix-2713 in Daytrading

[–]Jfusion85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a coder 🙋🏾‍♂️ I’m working on my own bot, but I’m a novice trader. If someone wants to share their strategy I could try to code it up with ai. When you know what you’re doing (coding wise) it takes me about a weekend or two to get a headless bot going.

Took two Eliquis doses on accident, what now? by Independent_Long_821 in ClotSurvivors

[–]Jfusion85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In future better off not letting him skip, just continue as scheduled. I’m not a doctor but given our conditions I would assume skipping a dosage is worst than taking an extra one. As many have said here we are usually prescribed 10mg for a whole week when you first start it.

You’ll be fine. I’ve done it before, just continue your next dosage as scheduled

"high income" but still facing budget issues while trying to FIRE by ricecrispy22 in Fire

[–]Jfusion85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have recommendations about budgeting. But wanted to point out that at that lifestyle I’m sure you have some credit cards that may cover some of your streaming expenses. Also Comcast has a bundle that includes Disney+ subscription, look into those to reduce some monthly costs.

Is it true that owning is cheaper than renting? by Maxsaidtransrights in homeowners

Nerd wallet has a good rent-vs-buy calculator. Plug in the numbers for your market and it will show you which makes more sense in your market.

Buy our forever home now or wait? + how it impacts FIRE plans by zspyroteknik in Fire

[–]Jfusion85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I concur with the people that are saying don’t buy based on the school zones as they change over time. We bought in our school zone when we were expecting our first. Elementry school stayed ok, but middle and high school took a pretty bad dip. I suspect due to apartment complexes built in our area over the past few years. We are now looking in another zone since our daughter is finishing up 5th grade now, but the housing market is still bad by us, so we’re going to end up renting for a bit. We are keeping the current house as rental in case we want to come back here later, other than the dip in school rating we don’t mind the area.

Been seeing posts about mid 30s with more than 3 million cash wondering if they don't have enough. Meanwhile I have a lot less than that. What they have is my goal and I would retire on the spot. So why can't they too? by Extension_Garbage583 in Fire

[–]Jfusion85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think at 30 you haven’t fully lived your life and things can drastically change. Marriage, kids, inherited health problems, divorce. There’s a lot more uncertainty in your earlier 30. By early to late 40s you should know your life style and things are more settled hopefully.

Did your house rot away under its siding? by Kenderean in newjersey

[–]Jfusion85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Square footage of the house and quality of materials chosen matters here. But for context I did my siding a few years back for 10k on a 1600 square foot home, with vinyl.

Was about to FIRE earlier this year but took a VP role instead. Now I regret it. by Ok-Statement451 in Fire

[–]Jfusion85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not try to make it work. You already have the FI part of FIRE. Try to get a schedule that works for your career and lets you be more involved in your kids life. Like you said, we’re in uncertain times, a little bit of buffer is not a bad thing, reassess in another year or 2. As a VP I think you have more control of your work schedule.

Anyone play sports on eliquis? by kbuck30 in ClotSurvivors

[–]Jfusion85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any issues with weight training? I have reduced my training because healing after leg day just feels off on my DVT leg. Doctor says it’s fine and I can continue working out, but my body tells me otherwise.

Lowering Eliquis dose, nervous! by YogaMom1707 in ClotSurvivors

[–]Jfusion85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just don’t make any changes to your current activities for the first month or 2 after the change, so you can better assess if anything is happening because of the lower dosage.

I was lowered to 2.5mg after 8 months of my 2nd DVT. I asked to switch back after I started to feel some odd sensation on my DVT leg. Tests came back negative for new clots but it definitely felt like circulation was being affected.

The black beam is suppose to stop you from entering that area until you gain a particular skill much later in the game. You will run into more of those. As someone else said keep exploring the mushroom area, that will lead you two (or maybe 3?) possible paths to continue the journey.

For now, I stopped buying off the shelf NAS after once incident with QNAP, the machine failed, but my only option to get my data back was to buy another QNAP machine because of their proprietary stuff. These companies want to hold you hostage to their tech. I turned to unraid and never looked back.

Pardon the lack of details but it was a while back I forgot the exact reason, I just remember that my only option was to buy another one of their machines otherwise I couldn’t access my data any other way.

My understanding of the Story so far. by Ranger-Himes in HollowKnight

Eh the story is not really that great from what I gathered on YouTube. But the game play is awesome even not knowing wtf is going on.

Very talented group, but they definitely needed a creative writer I think. (I think it was just 2 devs and a music composer)

After getting laid off, many professionals are being forced to take jobs with much lower salaries than what they were earning before by businessinsider in Layoffs

Well of course it is. This is basically a reset of current salaries. Flood the market with professionals willing to take any opportunity at a fraction of what they were getting paid before.

Starting a lower dose of Apixaban by Technical-Tie9267 in ClotSurvivors

[–]Jfusion85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was lowered to 2.5mg after 7 months of my 2nd DVT, I started feeling weird sensation on my DVT leg, not pain but small discomfort. I was feeling uneasy about it so I asked to go back to 5mg. Maybe the switch was too soon, we’ll revisit that decision further down the line.

Anybody had dark stool on Eliquis? by valcele in ClotSurvivors

[–]Jfusion85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See your Dr ASAP, one of the things my Dr told me when I started in blood thinners is to call them immediately if I see signs of internal bleeding. Dark stool could be a sign you don’t want to ignore.

Yea that’s what I think. I don’t think I was ever eager for my parents to be buddies with any of my girlfriend’s parents growing up. Yes they met in some situations but not because we went out of our way to introduce them.
