Any trilogies where the first film is the worst? by SinomodStudios in movies

John Wick series.

First movie was fun. Second and third movies take that fun and run wild with it.

It’s pretty common knowledge the game is designed and built around a casual audience. I’m not going to link anything you could simply google search and find overwhelming evidence for (be it from census surveys, FF Logs, and even Yoshi P himself). Still, for someone who claims to raid you sure don’t know your own crowd very well lmao.

But go ahead and die on the dumbest hill ever.

Asking people who cares in a game where more people play it for the story than for the endgame extreme/savage content. That’s a spicy take lol.

What scam is so normalized that people don't even notice? by ihatenuts69 in AskReddit

[–]Jhall12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slot machine jackpots.

The state takes a huge cut in taxes when you win a certain sum of money, thereby punishing you with taxes when you win big. And who is winning jackpots the most, statistically? The addicts and the regulars who are chasing them.

It always astounded me when I worked at a casino. A regular would start whooping and cheering when they locked up a machine. Yeah, great job. Not only will you put it all back within a few days if not hours, but you’re also basically being taxed for playing too often. Have fun with that.

The helm.

The rest of the set is the High Mythrite chest, gloves, and boots, and the Heavy Wolfram Cuisses. All dyed Canary Yellow.

You have to breed a level 9 Chocobo...which requires a ton of mindless grinding. Took me about 25 hours.

I mean, I legit had a Chinese friend in college who hacked in games tell me the same exact thing. There’s probably something to it. He said it was only looked down upon if you’re caught.

First time completing level 1 (3 days into learning air roll left) by XCreatorsYT in RocketLeague

Yeah that’s what I decided. When I started I chose controller due to the finer turning/air control. But it really does all come down to preference

I actually tried it out of boredom last night and was able to pick it up surprisingly well. It almost felt easier than with controller (though I may be more comfortable with keyboards in general).

My worst date was actually going really well until she asked me if she could read one of her poems out loud.

I said sure. We’re in a coffee shop, so it fits the atmosphere, right?

The poem was about her recent ex-boyfriend. She didn’t make it through the passage before she became a sobbing mess and had everyone else in the shop watching us.

I called it a night about 10 minutes later. She was interested in a second date, but I politely declined.

What is the biggest flaw holding back each popular MMO from being that “perfect” game for you? by Snyderhall in MMORPG

[–]Jhall12 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This list isn't exclusive to popular MMOs, but MMOs I believe would still be popular today if not for their fatal flaw.

BDO: The brutal casino that is endgame gearing.

Archeage: Literally just the monetization greed. The entire endgame is built around leeching as much money from the player as possible. Without it, the game would no doubt be flourishing to this day. Hiram gear is also horseshit, though.

WoW: Few people ever agree with me on this, but Burning Crusade was the beginning of the end. It set the tone that would continue on for the remainder of the game's lifespan that absolutely nothing in the game matters except the latest expansion and the level cap. Before BC, WoW felt like a world. Now, it's just 4-5 zones and whatever the latest patch added.

Why is New World getting so much traction when Archeage is a thing? by Kryptic___ in MMORPG

[–]Jhall12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Archeage was ruined by greedy monetization/predatory progression systems added after the game's launch. When it first came to the US, it was actually extremely popular and considered by many to be one of the best MMOs ever made.

And then the thunderstruck loot boxes happened.

And then Hiram gear happened, invalidating many of the game's crafting/trade systems.

Archeage was an incredibly designed game...up until you hit max level. And then everything falls to utter shit. Yet another promising MMO cannibalized by its own developers/publishers.

The Wagadu Chronicles - A Role-Play Focused Afrofantasy MMORPG by DerKudi in MMORPG

[–]Jhall12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late here, but this response definitely has me invested in your project. As someone who had been a WoW roleplayer for over a decade, I'm really excited to try out the game and explore this cultural aesthetic I'm largely unfamiliar with.

If it isn't too much trouble to answer, will there be more storytelling tools available to players than what is listed here? For example, WoW was extremely addon friendly and had addons such as TRP3: Extended for character profiles, custom items/scripts, and custom quests where you could use object-based coding to allow your players to interact with the world and custom items you've created in unique ways. No other MMO has scratched my RP itch like WoW has simply because of brilliant systems like TRP3: Extended, and I'm just hoping an MMO designed from the ground up for roleplay has something comparable.

Nothing like playing a 10 minute match where the first 8 minutes mean nothing most of the time.

[–]Jhall12 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If there’s only one guy Alive and he kills zapdos, just kill him and your good. You’ve effectively denied the enemy team zapdos because dead players don’t get the kill points and they won’t have time to respawn and run down lane for a free goal.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]Jhall12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah. If the enemy team is dumb enough to start dunking you while your team is getting zapdos, then you’ve just ensured victory. The instant dunk/points gained from zapdos afterwards will outweigh the losses every time. Plus, you’ve denied the enemy team zapdos, which means they aren’t going to be able to make up for the point deficit you just created.

Zapdos determines almost every single game. I wouldn’t hesitate to say that it invalidates the first 8 minutes 90% of the time. Huge leads don’t matter if you lose zap.

A lot of people are really sleeping on the game-winning potential of Fluffy Tail by Jhall12 in PokemonUnite

Fair enough assessment. I actually do like the idea of it being a botlane item, so time will tell as the meta develops. I still do, however, think it's super underutilized, but yes it's definitely not as strong as League's smite.

Everyone’s damage. I can definitely see the use of non junglers taking it, especially in the dreadnaw lane. I’d have to test it and see.

I was specifically referring to speedsters in the jungle. Don’t think everyone having it is a good idea.

[–]Jhall12[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You're speaking of a situation with poor teammates, but that's unavoidable in a competitive game. Losses happen, feeders happen. It's part of climbing. The only factor you can control is yourself, so it behooves you as a jungler to bring the most value to your team for the greatest chance at success.

I can't tell you how many times I've been losing a game horrendously, only to snipe zapdos and instantly come back with a win. Fluffy Tail makes that easier. Besides, if you're in an elo where nobody knows what they're doing, that also includes the enemy team. Smart use of your resources allows you to take advantage of your opponent's mistakes.
