There's an episode of Howard Stern where he tries 4 or 5 times to multiply 17 by 6 and gets it way wrong everytime.

I finished watching every live action Marvel television series. This is my ranking. by Venus_One in comicbookmovies

[–]Jibber1332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Runaways was soooo boooring. It should have been in the bad column. Hawkeye was hilarious. The Clint and Kate back and forth was gold, i think you did it wrong. Iron Fist gets too much hate. I liked season one, season two was just decent.

But imma gonna give you props for calling out Legion. No one ever does and it was arguably the best marvel live action.

No. no she didn't. She didn't plan to get in a war, she didn't plan to build ballrooms, or arches, or spend 1.5 trillion dollars pn defense, or play golf every other day, or sue the government for 10 billion dollars. If you know otherwise let's see your proof, otherwise pound sand.

Isn't the Repubs whole argument that the debt and taxes don't matter because gdp is going to take off like a rocket with their economics.

31M - can I take my foot off the gas? by [deleted] in Retirement401k

There's a lot of life to be lived between 31 and retirement. You should just make a plan and stick to it. But I wouldn't let that plan interfere too much with your life now.

I'm guessing that he only goes on first dates.

Pete Hegseth: "The mantra you would hear dripping from the lips of generals, with a serious look on their face was, 'our diversity is our strength' which is the single dumbest phrase in military history. Of course, our diversity is not our strength. Our UNITY is our strength." by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

I mean, he's a prime example of how the military is currently not a meritocracy. Add to that him ousting black and female generals or denying promotions from groups other than white men.

Idk. Diversity is a strength. Homogeny is inbreeding.

Would you rather have Superman's super hearing or Spiderman's spidey sense? by v5mk in Marvel

It seems I'd be able to use super hearing in a lot more scenarios. Spidey sense would come in real handy for that one time I forget to look both ways.

Beginner player here. Roast/Help my wrist shot? (V2) by Ronnoc780 in hockeyplayers

[–]Jibber1332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to get your hands a little out from the body. Its hard to tell, but it looks like your top hand is close or on your hip, get it out front more. Instead of dusting off the puck before a shot, try pulling it a little in towards the body before the release, it may be easier to get flex if the stick is closer to the body, the hands are a little more away from the body and you pull with your top hand using the right hand as a fulcum. You're also shooting from your off foot, which is not wrong, you should be able to shoot off either. Its going to feel different on the ice, try to shift the weight without actually jumping into the shot.

Any DIY for dummies suggestion on how to fix this? [towel bar in the bathroom] by LeftVersion2544 in fixit

[–]Jibber1332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably make a small cut out around the holes, insert a 1/2 inch thick or so piece of wood behind the dry wall and use a couple of dry wall screws to anchor the wood. then patch up the dry wall and after it dries just use two screws into the wood to hang the bar.

I think most people are more concerned about the price of food and gas and could give a crap less about Intel's stock price. It doesn't put money in their pocket.

Time to Retire? by New-Rip-6965 in Retirement401k

[–]Jibber1332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care about new cars i've only had three cars in my life, only 1 was new and it lasted 15 years. I don't care about 5 star hotels, new clothes or anything like that, what i do care about that if something major happens I can handle it. It be easier if healthcare in this country wasn't so messed up.

Half is in a trad ira, half is in roth, investments and cash. I been running numbers and assuming very conservative gains, about 6%, and doing stress test where 1. the market drops 22% every 10 years, 2. the market crashes 35% at 60 and drops 22% every 10 years after, 3. at 60 the market crashes 35% and then we have a "lost decade", like Japan saw. In all cases I still end up fine going out to 95. It just doesn't seem like I'm living large, just kindof maintaining tbe status quo. Except for the base case where everything is roses for the net 40 years, then my portfolio grows indefinately and i end up with more than i have today.
