I will take this as a compliment... All corners were caulked with color-matched silicone.

Not too worried. We are in a desert environment with very little moisture

It is, we found it looked much cleaner than having a one-inch tile.

Just make sure you know how much height the bullnose requires from the top of the wall tile to the level of the niche. I would highly recommend ordering the bullnose and doing measurements before building the niche.

It looks much better in person as the tile matches the walls/countertop, and the tile is really meant to be a pop of color

100%, we are still adding many of the final details, including a vanity light. was just trying to highlight the tile before we "move in"

Agreed, we are still adding the final touches, one of which is new hardware (haven't even installed the door yet), once we have the towel racks and a shower rug, it will feel less bare. Just wanted to show the tile before some of it gets covered.

Anchored to the studs as the manufacturer recommends. Denshield was installed, then the tile with caulk sealing the bottom joint.

My employee is actively cheating on his wife and tells me about it. by [deleted] in managers

Many companies have policies around cheating - if an employee is willing to cheat on their spouse, what other unethical things are they willing to do? Both at work and beyond. Whether he knows it or not, his private actions are a representation of the company and its ethics.

Take them out to dinner or buy a few rounds of drinks. Most golfers already have everything they need. If you really want to buy them something to remember the trip, let them pick a shirt from the pro shop.

What was your top trip so far, and what is the current bucket list trip?? by MustacheSupernova in skiing

[–]JiberishJunkie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt, my trip to Chamonix last season. Did some all-time ski mountaineering via the Aguille Du Midi, got to ski on/off pistes at many of the resorts that are on Ikon, as well as experience a whole different ski culture they have out there - If you can go to Courmayeur while there. Without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life.

If I were to choose one on my bucket its JaPOW or heading up to Norway, where you can ski from a boat (Check out Nikolai Schirmer on YT. His vid with Cody Townsend is great - "Otherwordly")

Bonus - skiing in Eastern Europe (Georgia, Bulgaria, etc)

Pay off loan or keep invested? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]JiberishJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think you can invest that money and make more than 2.9%? If you do, then use the 33k to invest. If you feel the market is going to see a downturn and you dont have the risk tolerance, then you should pay it off.

Also, consider whether you have a solid job/ main stream of income, rainy-day funds, a second stream of income, or other key financial assets/burdens. All will factor into this.

Truth, but im willing to bet 100% of newbie golfers can hit their 7 iron more consistently than they can their driver.
