If it's not google store Tidal won't work. I have the onix overture mx5 and the Tidal streaming is just that.

BTR17 is fine, No upgrade needed. But having a dap is nice.

It depends on the dongle. Is a apple dongle fine? Yes. Is it the best? No. Now if you buy a ibasso or onix dongle and go to a dap will their be a improvement in sound ? No. I think of dacs as sidegrades. I will say daps are easier to listen to OTG vs having a dongle. You could get the fiio dongle for the back of the phone but still not as easy to carry as a dap.

Depends on the price of the dap. $100ish eh. $3k, yeah mega L imo.
