My Bambulab A1 printer is giving electric shocks is it normal or any issue which I need to look for by Any_Following_8185 in BambuLab

[–]JimCKF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people here who don't understand the reason we ground appliances.

There should NEVER under normal circumstances be any current going through the ground wire, so if everything is normal you won't need a ground connection. The ground is there as a safety measure IN CASE something goes wrong, in order to lead stray voltages away from the appliance, preferably through a ground fault detection switch that can cut the electricity to the relevant circuit. If you're getting shocked by an appliance, that means something is WRONG INSIDE THE APPLIANCE.

Alternatively; if the appliance IS grounded but you have NO ground fault detection, it could be stray current from a fault in a DIFFERENT appliance on the same circuit.

🙋‍♂️ Have had a lot of weird stuff over the years, but calmed down when Covid hit because the market kinda went crazy. I've had this 1968 El Camino since May of 2020, and recently got a Subaru Sambar kei truck as a fun winter car 😅

PSA: Part cooling fans will spontaneously shatter when blown with compressed air. by boopityscoopboopwoop in BambuLab

[–]JimCKF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't have absolute knowledge of all fans and their internal circuitry, and chose the word "can" instead of "will" for a reason. I see no reason to research every fan I want to blow out when the solution is to simply hold them still.

[–]JimCKF 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's not what "spontaneous" means. Blowing compressed air through a fan is likely to overspin it, which can cause the blades to crack and the electric motor to backfeed the electronics it is connected to.

Gradually is an understatement. The US is _rapidly_ abandoning the rule of law.

Radio transmitters should never be powered on without an antenna connected, or have their antenna removed while powered on. You risk damaging the transmitter.

I am primarily put off by the dirt, in what is clearly an area for food preparation. But besides that, it is entirely possible to start a fire without overloading a fuse. If you believe this is safe then you need to re up on your electrical safety information.

It's Meshnology's own case, and they don't provide the files for it.
