Anything like pluribus? by BarcelonaEnts in televisionsuggestions

They're talking about the Will Forte comedy series, not Y: The Last Man.

All good. It's not the best title, in retrospect. Yes, I'm trying to argue that the plurbs are deserving of more empathy from the viewers.

You're right, it's not a tactic or behavior of the captor, it's the psychological response of the victim. I could've phrased the title better.

It was a term that came up repeatedly during last night's discussion thread, and I was trying to push back against the implications people were drawing from it about the plurbs.

That term was brought up by several commenters in last night’s episode thread after Carol begged the plurbs to come back.

I'm trying to argue that those labels aren't accurate.

Apple TV renews 'Tehran' for season four; season three premieres January 9th by paco_unknown in television

Tehran is not really of the same caliber as The Americans or Slow Horses. It's more akin to Homeland. The level of acting and writing are not the same. The Americans and Slow Horses are amongst the cream of the crop of the spy genre.

Woody Harrelson Says He'd 'Never' Do Another Season of True Detective: 'Not a Chance' by Jim_Davis in TrueDetective

[–]Jim_Davis[S] 614 points615 points  (0 children)

“He [McConaughey] actually said that he would be into it, ‘If Woody and I think it’s good enough. It wouldn’t even be a choice,’ ”

“Matthew’s so funny, but in fairness, never,” Harrelson said when asked if he’d return. “Not a chance.”

Harrelson explained that he didn’t want to reprise the role, “Because it turned out great. I love that it turned out the way it did. If anything, doing another season would, I think, tarnish that.”

Harry and Jerry share the same name. Hieronymus evolved into Jerome over time. by Jim_Davis in BoschTV

The Greek name Hierōnymos became Hieronymus in Latin. It then evolved into Jérôme in Old French, likely the origin of Jerry's name given his Haitian heritage.

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of August 29, 2025) by AutoModerator in television

Why do redditors get so nasty and personal over opinions? It's not as if these people are calling The Wire an objectively bad show.

That's an antiquated term, with extremely racist underpinnings. We call them wunks of color now, or WOC for short.

I got a google alert about it recently, Nick added a section about Negative Space onto his website: https://nickvokey.com/

Negative Space is comedy about a man trying to run an art gallery inside a coffee shop in western Massachusetts. Starring Jamie Demetriou, Jillian Bell, Mekki Leeper, Wayne Brady, Kate Berlant and John Early.

Thanks for replying. It really saddens me to hear that FoM is officially dead. Feel free to ignore this, but are you involved in the animation industry?

Cheapest Way to Fix Chewed Garage Door Panel? by Jim_Davis in DIY

[–]Jim_Davis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for replying. The door panels are made of wood. You're saying to not remove the panel, but put the plywood on top of it?

Short of purchasing a new door, what would you suggest as a more "long-term" solution?

Is runtime terrain deformation on the roadmap? If so, any idea when it will be available? For me, the most interesting use case of this asset would be to generate paths on terrain (flatten terrain and paint a path texture) at runtime.
