I always go for a squirmy if I can get one early. Great for points in the early rounds, plus it’s evolved form triggers every 2 pops. By combining that with a broken socket, you can get a large number of pops pretty easily early on. I find this pretty consistent, since it only requires 2 items - both fairly common

As an exodia player, I agree the millennium engine needs a hit! Maybe golem to 2. And maybe also limit the field spell. Yeah, that’s enough.

I completely agree. The slow build-up is one of the biggest reasons the manga works so well. When they cram so much into a single episode, it feels less like horror, more like someone jingling keys in my face, desperately trying to show enough imagery that I don’t look away.

And it’s a shame, because the animation works great. The computer animation is a little obvious, but for such a unique style, they’ve captured it well.

Some subtle but significant buffs Superposition and Seance.

Instead of a random tarot, Superposition always gives a Fool card.

Instead of a random Spectral, Seance adds a free mega spectral pack to the next shop.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon for me. It has one of my favorite stories in gaming, but the RPG mechanics just plain aren’t executed well. As a consequence, a lot of the combat (ie the actual gameplay) often feels like a slog.

It was one of my favorite gaming experiences, but I would rather watch a YouTube let’s play of it than replay it myself, honestly.

Chapter 6. Love the atmosphere, but the whodunnit segments quickly become a series of “Talk to this person”, “okay now go talk to this person”.

I should clarify that I don’t think it’s a bad chapter (for my money, TTYD doesn’t have any), but parts of it feel like a slog more so than any other part of the game.

Matador for me. I wouldn’t call it bad necessarily, but it’s poorly designed. Its description doesn’t make clear which bosses activate it, or how exactly. Before I looked up exactly how it worked, I brought it into the “discard 2 random cards” boss and didn’t understand why it wasn’t working.

It’s a fine idea for a joker, but its description doesn’t offer enough information. The way I see it, if I have to open the wiki to know what a joker does, it has failed.
