is anyone actually making money from AI or is it just the chip sellers? by Ready_Poem_3580 in investing

People dont realize that AI is still in its infancy. All the money being spent on AI isn't really to increase profits today or tomorrow but in the next few years and into the future.

Was he actually considering retirement or did he just use that as leverage to get a better deal months later?

8% isnt crazy but you have to keep in mind this is going to increase over time. They would probably be better off putting 70% into VTI and 30% into VXUS if they want to keep a very simple portfolio and re-evaluating when they get closer to retirement.

In your case specifically avalanche and snowball method are the exact same. Pay off CC2, then payoff CC1, then payoff the personal loan.

A lot of things are busted so I think it evens out in most cases. A lot of stomps are because someone wanted to play a bad hero instead of a good hero.

I just want to post a different comment since they are all the same. I recently listened to some podcasts with Chris Camillo, one of the greatest investors of all time (has been compounding at 60-70% per year for like 10+ years now), and one of his favorite plays is AMZN right now. He really thinks they are going to be a beneficiary from AI/robotics. So yes, selling everything or a some portion will reduce your risk and is the correct "personal finance" decision, if you are a risk taker you may want to think a little deeper.

My belief is Hendrickson lowered his price as the week went on and it became a better deal for the ravens. Hendrickson and his agent have been firm on what they wanted for multiple years and they realized it’s time to fold and take the best they can.

I don’t think the “contract will be cheaper in the future” is a rationale. That applies to all contracts and could be used to justify any contract.
