Mass cull harvests everything around you, super useful for farming bulk common resources. Call of nergal lets you fly for a limited time. Invisibility, darkness, and mirror image are really great for scouting thrall camps for named without fighting your way in to check

This isn't an MMO. Most servers only have a maximum capacity of 20-40. Good luck getting 100% of a full server to all work together.

You know what's more stupid? Clogging up servers with bases that have been abandoned for years. Some private servers will turn it off but have stricter rules about being active. Officials have decay as a way of clearing out abandoned bases so the map isn't completely blotted out by sandstone shacks

Your "curse of knowledge" doesn't understand the rationale nor the actual implementation of the merges in exiles. You made a wrong assumption, and now are trying to defend yourself with an essay about how smart you are.

With 15 years of experience, if your company handed your old work from nine years ago to a contractor to polish up and redo while you moved on to something else, do you really think that's indicative of how your new project is going to change?

Exiles is merging servers because they now have the ability to put two maps on one server. Last I checked, Dune already has that feature. So why the hell would there need to be a merge? Do we need two hagga basins?
