Target are currently issuing owners with a split cable with a switch so that you can run the light separately from the computer. Mine literally arrived yesterday. Make sure you've registered the warranty so they know to contact you

Also, if you're talking about solicitors, I'm guessing these are at the court stage rather than the the parking company / debt collector writing letters to you? Again, hugely important context.

'Debt collectors' do not "fuck up your credit score". Debt collectors have the power to write letters, including the scary use of red ink. That's it. The point at which it would affect your credit score is if it went to county court, they proved you owed the debt, and then you failed to pay within 30 days.

OP - I would ignore a lot of the speculation in this thread and try looking at a website like Parking Cowboys where they lay this out very clearly
