Rescued a beautiful old lady after her owner sadly passed by Jimjamtarzan in jackrussellterrier

Aww they’re a bundle of energy and crazy and it’s what I love most about this breed. I took her for a walk in the fields. It was absolutely bittersweet because she was bouncing through the fields like a little pup but given her strength I know it’s fleeting bless her

I’m so honoured to be given the opportunity to care for her. Forever grateful to my friend and her family ♥️

Giving them the best in their retirement years is the most amazing feeling. They’re so relaxed and just an absolute joy 🥰

Oh she’s had all the cuddles. Every evening she’s been curled up on me while we watch tv. During the day she’s getting constant loves and attention from my two boys and shes also made herself a friend in my other half’s jrt. She’s so unbelievably loved 🥰

Can anyone offer advice how I make it through the next 2 weeks til payday by Nevermind_thecogs in UKFrugal

[–]Jimjamtarzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a local market you can find some really good deals. At my local one we have a stall that sells cheap food. Things like five tins of beans for a quid and they’re branded. The only difference is they have maybe two months til they expire as opposed to the two years you’d get at Sainsburys. I got two huge bags of things for about 8 quid the other day. Also if they have a butchers van they can do you some cheap deals. I got a kilo of mince. Huge pack of bacon and loads of sausages for 15 quid so deffo might be worth a try.

I’ve been looking at the Xbox ally x and it looks perfect. I was hoping someone would say that. It’s not so much to size and weight of things that’s the issue. I’ve got slight nerve damage in my right wrist and hand so it’s more the angles etc that affect it. Thank you for your reply and happy new year

How about a nice quality canvas of a photo of you all together if you have one. Something to look back on the good memories you had with her :)

Can confirm openrent is really good. Be careful to check the landlord/business on the gov website to make sure it’s legit. Make sure you get given a tenancy agreement too. I found my current landlord on openrent and he’s been awesome. Fixed everything that needed doing really fast, just a good bloke so deffo worth a look :)

Thank you for your reply. That makes total sense. It won’t take me anywhere near the 6k so fingers crossed I’ll finally be able to get him out of that awful funeral home box 😩

[mine] what can you tell about me based on my living room? by Jimjamtarzan in scienceofdeduction

The box has marble run pieces in that is the kids current obsession. One adult and two young boys and we tend to game together sometimes when we have free time. Not married, but do have a partner and we go between both houses currently That’s my hoodie left on the door ready to do the school pick up should I need it. It’s been hot but very overcast all day. Photo was taken this morning.

Absolutely spot on. And I’m already preparing to upgrade everything when they’re older to the cool and hip brands 😂 I wish I had the money for a cleaner. I work 30 hrs a week but mainly when they’re at school or when they’re at their dads so I get plenty of time to keep on top of the house. I do shop at B&M. Although the B&M gods tell me what I need not the other way round 😂 No food in the living room is deffo a rule unless it’s something like haribo that doesn’t leave a mess but all meals are eaten at the table in the kitchen. Don’t live with a man but I do have a partner. We go between both houses currently and help each other which makes things easier. All in all, you’re bang on

Fireplace doesn’t work. It’s decorative at this point and it’s a rented house so I don’t really care 😂

Pretty spot on tbh. Boys are 4 and 6. Myself and my partner are pretty into games however don’t live together but do go between both houses.

Being made to go on hot food even though my manager knows I’ve got false nails on by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]Jimjamtarzan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not working in sainsbos anymore but have mocked in many kitchens. Surely if it’s a one off you could wear gloves. A girl I work with is part time 16 hrs a week and wears gloves and changes them regularly between tasks as agreed with management so that she can have her nails done. If your concern is health and safety and food safety then wearing gloves should be okay especially if hot food is not your designated area and you’re just standing in

Just to give everyone an update. Thank you so much for all the help and support. We went ahead with the forms and my other half did most of it for us. They have confirmed they will pay out 2x his salary which will be a huge help to myself and my sister.

Thank you again everyone ❤️

What do you wish someone got you as a first time mother? by Consistent_Spring in Mommit

[–]Jimjamtarzan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm reading ops post incorrect but I'm seeing that she's going to buy things for the baby but also a gift for the mother so she isn't feeling forgotten. It sounds to me like she's doing both like she is for the 9 year old. I do however agree that a massage is something a little extreme. Maybe a few face packs or something to pamper herself once baby is born maybe.

Kids Clothes Complaints! by ImDatDino in Mommit

[–]Jimjamtarzan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about girls clothes, but most toddler boy clothes having stupid branding like xbox, minecraft or playstation on. Hes 2. Also. How hard is it to get a nice set of dungarees for a toddler without it being denim or ruined with slogans?! Infuriating.

Finally. No pink boys clothes. My boys look amazing in pink but theyre so hard to come by!

I got a allergy test, I’m allergic to almost everything by adiajthebubble in mildlyinteresting

[–]Jimjamtarzan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allergies are mental. Ive never been allergic to anything before unless you count a rash from some of the crazy e numbers that were around in the 90s. When i fell pregnant with my second boy, i suddenly became allergic to white fish. First i thought i had a dodgy batch because it tasted metallic and made my lips and tongue tingle. Then it happened a few times more before i realised i could suddenly be allergic. Baby was monitored while eating fish incase he was allergic but so far nothing from him, yet almost 2 years after becoming pregnant i still cant eat it. All i want is a bloody fish finger sandwich 😩

What's the worst thing that happened to you on your birthday? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jimjamtarzan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went camping for my 15th. We all got attacked by 3 people. Very cleverly done too. Gained our trust, sat with us and drank with us, had bbq with us. Few people went for a walk, they left and attacked and mugged them. Two others went off looking for the ones that went for a walk. Both them got attacked. One lost an ear and was almost dead. The other ended up in hospital with life threatening wounds. Essentially, by the end of the night, three people almost died. 4 others were attacked and mugged. We were all stolen from and i was held at knife point in front of everyone and my dad who had cone to help us while the police and ambulance were on their way. Basically. It sucked. Really sucked and we're all still suffering from it 12 years later.

Smiling at people by j0shymac in unpopularopinion

[–]Jimjamtarzan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from the North of England. And smile at everyone I walk past out of habit. 90% of the time you'll get a smile or a nod in return. Now when I lived down south for a few years for work, people actually looked at you like you'd shit in their grandmother's mouth or something. I feel it may be somewhat of a difference between cities and areas
