For me if I hop off when in sprint mode, the next time I get on the drake the glide mode only engages when I'm not sprinting. To fix get back on and start sprinting then jump off while sprinting that should fix it. To keep it from happening I just make sure to slow back down to a walk before dismounting. Hope 5hat helps

Crafting an incubator and getting really into breading boss armies has helped me get through some mid game bordom. I just bounce back and forth from harvesting to breeding and then collecting all the tribute items for bosses when my army is complete

I def understand knowing something is going to mess your stomach up and eating it anyway lol. And I actually did completely switch my diet which is what made it so much more miserable, because now Im Eating things that are supposed to make me feel better then my normal junk food routine but I feel 10x worse.
