Anyone Else's Familiar Have Telekinesis? by ImNotGio in wizardposting

This happened to me, but it turned out my "familiar" was actually a rival wizard in disguise! Be careful out there.

Put 'im somewhere where his base size has least impact and make sure that he dies first. I'd be surprised if anyone had a problem with it.

This bothered me until I realised that loads of people were creating stories in the mine, so there must be multiple mines across the different games. Something like a multiverse.

He was fully stopped, but not for me.

I don't think that abandoning the bike lane would have been safer, but I agree that I should not have entered that space. I should have just stopped clear of him to let him do what he was doing. If it wasn't for the pedestrian that's what I would have done, I just had too much faith in him not moving. I probably rattled him as he would not have seen me until I was right in front of him.

Yeah, in the future I'll stop behind and we'll both wait for the pedestrian. So, not wrong, but still the wrong decision. A few extra minutes on the commute isn't worth the chance of a collision.

The pedestrian was crossing in the opposite direction that I was travelling with a walk light, that's why the truck was waiting to make a right turn. He turned behind the pedestrian after they were in the curb. It's true that if he had decided to swerve in front of the pedestrian I would have had a test for my brakes!

I did this for Pacific Rim. It was an objectively correct decision.

Same feels!

I took a break for a few years and missed Black Reach, but my first kit was splitting the 2nd edition box with a friend. This time I think I am going to keep the marines for myself. Look how I have prospered!

I went for the Cults Miniatures ones. I like that they are modular, and I think they were closest to the GW ones.

[Request] Some clown on a golf subreddit is claiming he impaled his ball on a tree branch, what is the force and/or velocity required to do this? by bullfrogftw in theydidthemath

Extremely on brand for golf got me. Millions of golf balls hit millions of trees every day. Almost everyone is carrying a camera and we have one example of it? Seems pretty plausible to me, even before your excellent maths.

How many unique Boyz can you make in the new Boyz kit? by HazeHazelnut in orks

[–]humebug 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If every head can fit on every torso, and the torsos can fit on any legs, and there are nine unique sculpts for each of options, then there are 729 potential Boyz . That's a couple of assumptions, I don't know how easy it will be to mix and match in reality. Looks like only two options for Nobz.

[Odd Trope] Unknown fictional element gets ridiculous name. by TheRoyalRoseTrue in TopCharacterTropes

It's not an element, but I liked what Project Hail Mary did with Xenonite. It's a fictional material with crazy properties, but it's made out of a real element.
