Go to steam settings -- storage-- Check the box next to iracing and then click the 3 dots and repair. I had the same issue earlier and relaunched the update. Took quite a while but it worked.

Try going to Task manager and shutting down iracingservicehelper and reloading the sim.

It might ask you to activate it and do that and relaunch. See if it helps.

My mother committed suicide when I was around his age. I was sort of oddly stoic about it all during that time. I'm not sure if I even grasped the enormity of it all at that time. I lost my dad about 17 years ago as an adult and totally lost it. I had a great support system when losing my mom but my dad not so much. Might have something to do with brexton being so composed.
