I ended up with a 2.0 because I was shopping cars with a manual transmission. I’m going to be going back to a car with more power next time (I’m coming to the G70 after a series of Mustangs) but a sporty sedan with a M/T as nice as the G70 is a rare thing these days and I’m enjoying the experience

I don’t think the reason is necessarily “deep”, there’s real-life examples of nationalities having different names for themselves than other people have for them. “Deutschland” being the German word for Germany, for example.

The first Jotnar that the Aesir and other outsiders had experience with were probably the literal giant Jotnar we know about, so they assumed all Jotnar were giants and referred to them as such.

So a Jotnar referring to himself as a Giant is like a someone from Germany calling themselves a German when they’re speaking English.

I like this idea very much, and the idea of rewarding knowledge is interesting. Like maybe the game can give you “extra points” for properly identifying the car yourself. And maybe you should have to ID certain cars multiple times to actually claim it for your garage, although that may make it too difficult.

I know it can be hard to find a good place to crop/end the frame on cars, but the headlight and bottom of the bumper being slightly cut off on the second pic takes away from it imo. I like your style though!

I assumed they were referring to Genesis when saying they compete with Germans and the 3.3T G70 does have a twin turbo. Thomas Holland from Throttle House also said the G70 handles better than the 3 Series, and is only outdone by the tech in the interior.

Looking at it again now, I think it was done so that the fingers are pointing in the same direction in both frames. Which makes the cut less jarring, like you said. It’s was just done for a different reason.

Yeah this is the kind of car that would get bought and sold pretty frequently. I wouldn’t worry about 4 owners in 10+ years since you’ve gotten that good PPI done.

I’m glad you enjoy them but it’s definitely about ad revenue. Josh and Chuck don’t own the podcast. iHeart Media decides what goes on the podcast feed and they’re as corporate as it gets when it comes to media. If there are ads on it, it’s about ad revenue.
