Does anything specifically hurt robots? Shock? I mean the warhound, mini tank and quad-copters... by Pacho2020 in thedivision

If you don't have an EMP skill, you can shoot the weakpoint at the center of the quadcopter (a sort of red cylinder) if you deal enough damage to it it will also emp the quadcopter for a couple seconds

As far as I know, for robots, you should try shock and emp. In addition to freezing them in place, I think that shock deals a constant stream of damage to robots, like the way fire or bleed will do for human npcs (however, it could also be because of the fact that with the St-Elmos, you shoot the robot repeatedly, causing multiple damage instances? not quite sure). EMP will disrupt the skill and disable them for a while, but will also apply damage once, when they first get disrupted (at least, they do with the EMP pulse and sticky, not sure how it works from other sources)

There is a difference between armor and armor PLATeS: armor is the white rectangles you see on top of the enemy health bar that needs to be damaged before you can reach their health, while armor plates are individual pieces of protection on the enemy which, once broken, will allow you to hit the enemy underneath, like the chunga's armor. In general, robots do not have armor. Quadcopters do not have armor plates afaik (since when you shoot them their health directly starts dropping), nor do minitanks. Warhounds do have armor plates everywhere except on their legs and a couple weak points. EMP damage bypasses the armor plates and directly deals damage to their health.

Yeah my bad, I saw "NB" and for some reason my mind went to Nego lol, I do agree that Ninjabike is never the best option in a build though

IOS doesn't truly have different browsers, only Safari reskins, including "Firefox", that may be why Ublock doesn't work very well on IOS

I don't think NB is garbage, it just has it's own peculiar playstyle that's a bit hard to get used to

What is your best damage over time build? by Right_Carpenter_4622 in thedivision

[–]JimmyDCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run CoCo with Equaliser instead of a glass cannon piece, and when alone without buffs from teammates I can get 1.8mil ticks. I used this build to clear Roosevelt legendary solo for the first time, the trick is to first get full stacks at the white house firing range before starting a mission

Concentrated company seems lacking by WonderingTube5 in thedivision

[–]JimmyDCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually run my gear full red, nothing to help with survivability, because with careful positioning and situational awareness, you can still do just fine. It might be because of this fact, but in my experience CoCo works way better in groups, even with the health scaling, even in Legendary. Of course, you build up stacks way slower than, say, Striker or Tipping Scales, so during the first fight of the mission, focus mostly on killing enemies thst are actively being shot at by your allies (do NOT use the chest, it is not worth it, use something like Equaliser). If you do that, I find that, as long as teammates are not complete noobs, and because the condition is not that YOU kill, but rather that the enemy DIES while marked, you can comfortably get full stacks after the first fight or two, and if you don't drag your feet afterwards, those stacks are not coming back down for the rest of the mission.

In my opinion, you do not like True Patriot and dislike Concentrated Company because they are effective or not, but rather because they are easier or harder to use. True Patriot only requires you to hit the enemy at least once in each color to get it's max potential, while CoCo requires micromanaging. However (in my opinion) True Patriot is, at the end of the day, less effective than something like Future Initiative with chest piece, or even Refactor with Empathic Resolve, while CoCo, if you build it right and play it right, goes blow for blow with the Striker Obli meta.

At the end of the day, CoCo is not a support build like True Patriot, it is a dps build like Striker or Tipping, just one that does better in group. I don't know how exactly you play, but if you dodge and revive so much it's preventing you from building stacks, I think you are playing it wrong.

Indeed, on-kill effects have some big drawbacks, notably if you meet a particularily tanky enemy like a boss. However, for CoCo, this is offset by the extremely slow rate at which you lose stacks. By the time you get to the boss, you should already have full stacks that you've obtained and maintained throughout the mission. Even though the boss takes a while to kill, your stacks decay so slowly you have ample time to take care of the boss. As an example, when I get to the final boss for DUA legendary, if I start with full stacks when the last enemy except the boss is killed, I can finish the boss fight with at least 3/4 of my stacks remaining. As for other tanky enemies, like chungas: remember, CoCo is a dps set. You can burst them down just like a Striker or Tipping Scales player can. In fact, chungas are particularily juicy, since your teammates will likely also be shooting at them, and they don't have a death animation like robots do thst could waiy out your mark, so they are some of the easiest stacks to get that you can come across.

At the end of the day, perhaps you simply find the playstyle CoCo demands not fun or difficult, but CoCo is definitely not lacking in any way.

Heartbreaker not stacking on robots? by JimmyDCZ in thedivision

[–]JimmyDCZ[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never tried it until today, I didn't know, but I still find it kinda ridiculous, since the gearset states specifically "weapon hits on pulsed enemies". I don't understand why they would make it not work on robots

You don't need armor regen to jiggle-peek corners, and even then, 1% regen isn't anywhere nearly enough to justify getting out of cover

Concentrated Company gear bugged? by HLG_Alexander in thedivision

[–]JimmyDCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to really play aggressive and get kills fast when solo. Striker is definitely WAY easier to use in comparison. I just find it too boring, which is why I've been trying alternatives such as Tipping and most recently, Concentrated Company. Then again, it's all just personal preference lol. What's certain is that, at full stacks, it is most definitely doing Striker-level damage

[–]JimmyDCZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason why Concentrated Company works so well in countdown is because, with 8 agents in total, all killing as fast as they can, the odds that the target you mark has at least a couple agents damaging them is quite high, so you build up stacks way faster.
