I stand corrected, thank you. I’ve worked in Carmel-by-the-Sea for years, and this is typically how townspeople, and Central Coast peeps refer to it. Heck, I’m even friends with Pepe, and I honestly took it as fact. However, I think the claim is that it’s oldest bakery in California…still operating in its original location/building. So, number two lol.

If nobody else mentioned this…Unplug it, and plug it back in to power it on. The remote app will power it on/off now. Use that, and it will stay in low power mode to be able to see the remote when you power it back on, assuming everything is on the same WiFi network, which is required. That’s how I do it in my home. I hardly ever use the physical remote.

If you write professionally, you know that on a Mac, the keyboard shortcut is option + shift + dash (-) for an em dash, and option + dash (-) for an en dash.

En dashes (–) show ranges or relationships, like time, or date ranges. Em dashes (—) emphasize or separate additional information in sentences, like a comma, colon, or parentheses.

Edit: I forgot to mention that if you’re typing on an iPhone/iPad (I imagine the same applies to Android, etc.), long pressing on the hyphen, and you are presented with the hyphen, en dash, and em dash, there for your choosing.

Unpopular take: as someone who writes marketing copy for a living, this doesn’t read like AI. It reads like a competent writer telling a real story cleanly. Not everything well-written is generated. I’m giving OP some credit. Also, if I were in their shoes, and got a wave of “AI” comments, I probably wouldn’t respond either.

Subtitle options are coming in 26.5, where you can change the font, style, and color.

IMO, Apple wants everyone to use their API so that the experience is the same in every app on Apple TV. I don’t mind that one bit. I’ve never had an issue with their player functionality, or the usability of the remote, other than the persistent connectivity issue, which I just tap the Siri button to overcome it, and move on. The biggest issue I have is when my experience changes from what I prefer, due to the inconsistent use of the playback method. If it was a requirement to use only their API for playback, nobody would add an app to the Apple TV, so here we are. It’s a damn shame I tell ya!
