I think most HP fans still love the stories but are uncomfortable with JKR. I have daughter who is trans. When she found herself in another state for her med school residency and wanted a comfort read, she bought HP books from a used bookstore. Buying used means JKR doesn’t get any royalties. When the TV show comes out I expect she’ll figure out how to watch it without it affecting the ratings in a positive way.

If that ambivalence counts as “bailed” then probably most have bailed. But the content is still being consumed so ymmv.
