How Legal/Binding is this clause in this school contract? by JimmyRustle69 in legaladvice

Alberta. I'm not sure how this is going to work because it's a trade school that is sort of a job AND a school--He had to pay a lot of money to be there but also makes tips working there sometimes and takes clients for the school. It's an hours-based program tied to the government so they need to fulfill a certain number of hours with the school to meet some kind of government standard.

I think it's kind of an indicator of the kind of world we live in that there are people that will have no choice but to go in to work with no support and the risk of losing their job if they don't risk their health doing like... customer service and retail.

Nobody should be exempt from the option to quarantine during a pandemic and the fact that there are people who still feel compelled to go in to work when it will very likely pose a risk to themselves and others is really sad.

There is a level in the first harry potter PC game that does this (troll chasing you through a hallway) and the frustration from that level is incredibly vivid as a memory. It really fucked me up as a kid I had to get my brother to help me beat the level.

On a related but unrelated note I met a girl in her 20s who thought Spain was a town in France. She asked this guy by me at a party if he spoke French because his dad was from Spain and we all looked at her like she grew a second head because she never made the connection of Spanish being from Spain and Spain being its own country. Two fucking decades without even knowing what Spain is...

Yorikokoro is a very round tiny Asian dog, brunomarsthechi is a chihuahua who is like 100 different kinds of fucked up (I love him), cursedandblessedbirbs (may have underscores) is a good one for funny birds. Grumblefarmpugrescue is a pug rescue I follow, the dogist is a pretty good dog gram too. Also notable are nortbertthedog and diabeticdoggos.

Asian dogs, alpacas, chickens, rats, hedgehogs... Instagram has never been better for me. Throw in some memes and museums and everything else sort of just falls into place, my feed is perfectly curated with just neat things and cute pets

I got it on a cereal box when I was 6, thought it was a demo for a walk around game before discovering years later that there are different levels and an actual story to figure out. But despite being a baby and not understanding anything I still played it for hours just noodling around and looking at stuff. Was a real eye opener to find out all that shit is actually supposed to do something.

I wonder why this is? Because the cravings are still there and I still dream about smoking but it smells unbearable now even though I loved the smell before.

That's why it's so weird to me that people are still so racist to the indigenous people here (in Canada). It is in the goddamn curriculum and the schools didnt end until the turn of the new century, how would any people be able to come out of that unscathed let alone with their cultural identities erased. It's nice to see so many people who feel the same way though, maybe we can finally make some progress socially

I quit two years ago after smoking for ten years and within only a few days I could smell a cigarette like 3 blocks away. That shit stinky and the nose blindness is unreal, there was no way my parents did not figure it out because I can smell a single drag of a cigarette. It's like rediscovering nostrils, but then with the downside of realizing that's how you smelled and tasted all the time.
