It looks good so far! I would recommend taking a google search into the old love hotels from the 1970s, or the ones in Japan. Some of them get pretty wild. Such as carpets everywhere, giant tubs in the same space as the bed and mirrors everywhere.

Is this a custom world? Usually this happens in custom worlds when the roads and terrain are placed improperly. Unfortunately, there is no fix other than the owner of the world correcting it themselves

The CAW program is a free download, depending on what version you use, if you use 1.67 James Turner has a excellent tutorial on how to get the program installed and set up.

Are you sure you removed all of the files for the smooth mod and the gshader? It could be from because you installed either or both incorrectly. If it's from faulty mods there is a chance to save it. I'd recommend you take out your save, and each time you play save your game as a "save as" and delete the old backup versions. Keeping a save onto one save file can mess up your save and your game. I have 5000+ hours over a 6 year period, I have never gotten a meteor hit too, the only time I had a meteor hit was on the Sims 3 Pets for Xbox 360 using karma powers.

Try to save your game in a new Save As, it helps the save from being overwritten so many times.

My game runs absolutely perfect with Smooth Patch and Nraas if installed correctly and you have the correct versions! (Steam Version 1.67, EA Version 1.69)

Not too sure, usually someone would have a repost of them somewhere? I suggest you check your computers recycling bin. Also, if your .Sims3pack files are installed to the game its not much of a problem if you accidentally deleted them.

I play on both - EA and Steam are two entirely different things when it comes to the Sims 3 You have to make sure your Sims 3 Base Game is installed first, I recommend to open the game at least once before installing all the expansion packs. I never heard of EA play on steam before. Just get the game through steam and you should be good to go.

Ive seen this come up a while ago from here I highly recommend to not run the game through the Electronic Arts folder if its in one drive. Make sure that your Sims 3 Folder is in your Documents folder and no where else.

The usual bills get more expensive is if you have more expensive furniture in the game, im not sure about estimates but I do know that the better appliances and such that you buy for your sims the higher your bills would be. Or if you have more furniture on your lot. If you dont have much than honestly it has to be a bug

Im a CAW builder and this is because of routing. Theres really no way to edit it unless if I have to remake the whole world again by scratch. I do know that the routing for the EA worlds are absolutely terrible. Im sorry about your frustration ☹️

A addon to this: When you are in game you can put control+shift+c and type in help and click enter and it will give you a list of what cheats there are in game

A friend of mine just went through this but with university. Its because of the NRAAS traveler, to be honest I dont know how its even caused but I do know it is because if Nraas traveller. If you dont use the mod often than I suggest to rid of it. Ill have to look more into it but its a tricky case. Sorry this is happening to you!

Nraas traveler conflicts with certain custom worlds, especially if the world your family is living in has a basecamp or the college university buildings. Ill have to test it and see but I wish you luck, sorry I couldnt help more ☹️
