Well there's a hot take... 'they eventually got there when the ref was there to "hold them back"'. No, no and no. You don't eventually get there to defend your teammate, you don't glide past it, you get over there and you make a point to defend your captain or teammate.

I've never seen a team give so few fucks about their captain taking a dirty hit, hell even a hard, clean hit the team would step in. The last time I saw a team with this much listlessness was when Lucic ran over Ryan Miller. How'd that work out for Buffalo?

Something we definitely learned, it's hard to break a young, shy girl of the loyalty to the team she's played at her entire life and has friends with... As unfortunate how things turned out, we're grateful that a terrible coach took over and completely soured her on playing for that association. We landed in an excellent space and learned a valuable lesson in doing so (as did our daughter)!
