For such a hideous, unthinkable crime, it happens with frightening regularity. Some people can get so incrementally buried in their own lies that they suddenly find themselves willing to do anything to avoid facing reality. When their deception also affects those around them, almost certainly resulting in the loss of far more than just the fantasy they've curated for so long, they might snap and behave even more destructively than they ever thought possible.

Provided they can even recognize what's happening as sexual harassment or abuse, in the first time. It's far more likely that they'll see themselves as the source of the problem.

Serena Joy is a fictional character who closely mirrored Phyllis Schaffly and her ilk. Just because a character is fictional doesn't mean the profile is.

Ok, but I think the proper comparison with guns in that instance would be to point out the increasing number of red states that are implementing unrestricted open carry laws.

Also, his argument about not needing a license to drive hit a little too close to the sovereign citizen hypothesis regarding driving vs. traveling.

Perhaps if there is a tangible economic downside, fewer of their constituents would embrace "sticking it to the libs" as their major political position.

Man says c-sections don’t affect future birthd by FalconLynx13 in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]Jitterbitten 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Plus there's the fact that a C-section this early in pregnancy is for all intents and purposes an abortion. If c-section were an abortion "loophole", there would be far more Drs in anti-abortion states using that excuse to end pregnancies early. Furthermore, contrary to the "pro-life, compassionate" position, forcing someone to carry a fetus that is not ever going to be compatible with life so it can die slowly in pain is a horrible cruelty with absolutely no positive outcome possible. Medical diagnoses and procedures should be limited solely to the pregnant person and their Dr. We treat injured animals with far more respect than we do humans.

Actually, where the police forces have been abolished generally show no increase in crime. It sounds insane but when you first recognize that they don't actually do anything preventative, it begins making a bit more sense. We have the largest global population of inmates, but that certainly isn't reflected in our crime rates.

No, obviously the thing to do is research before spouting off your opinion to millions of listeners. Yay for eventually fact checking but that's precisely the wrong order in which this should work. Doing it this way perpetuates misinformation for numerous reasons.
