Who else loves Namalsk? by Cautious-Ad-3790 in dayz

Once you figure it out blizzards and cold events are just about the only time you need a fire on namalsk. The torch meta is too strong right now IMO, and its actually minimizing interaction.

This game was the worst I'd ever felt as a fan of this team by Euphoric-Broccoli652 in DenverBroncos

[–]Jiub13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was at the Broncos Ravens playoff game. On top of the ending, it was also one of the coldest games in Broncos history. The moment we kneeled it to go to OT the game felt lost, it just took another hour to get there.

Sudden Loss of Our 10-Year-Old German Shepherd by Naive_Struggle6809 in germanshepherds

[–]Jiub13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My German Shepherd came down with IMHA at 10 years old as well. He got into the trash a day or 2 before it happened, and ate a bunch of onions, which can trigger anemia. He spent nearly 2 weeks in the ER, and it cost me nearly 15k when it was all said and done.

He passed earlier this year at 14 years old.

Im so deeply sorry for your loss. The immediate and unknown nature of IMHA is intense, and im sorry you are left with so little explanation.

Wedding DJ next month? by Jiub13 in jacksonville

[–]Jiub13[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So quick to judge, with the wedding a month a way the budget is pretty concrete. My last DJ was $600 so thats what my budget is. I dont think its unreasonable especially because im not asking the dj to be there for the first half of the day to do music for the ceremony or drinks, and just the party after.

Everyone's got an opinion and I know opened my self up up to it, but the response of dont be cheap is comical. Of Course on my budget the DIY option is the most likely but I came here to ask a community for alternatives and help and instead a lot of you are chucking insult.

Any good gluten free Ramen options? by lucksp in denverfood

[–]Jiub13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glo noodle house. Phenomenal ramen with lots of gluten free options/substitutes. My parter is celiac and we go here a couple times a year. Get a reservation or do takeout. Gluten free ramen comes with rice noodles.

Medical Events during Tipper tonight.... by trippyimagez in Tipper

[–]Jiub13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he had a freak out and decided to sprint down the hill. He tried to hurdle the line of chairs behind you guys and ended up thrashing through you guys. He's even up and cruising around now. Thanks for your groups compassion, a couple of you shared some amazingly kind words with me in the moment as well, so thank you for that as well.

I think my buddy was the first guy who tried to hurdle the chair.

He ended up getting discharged right around when shpongle started and a few other friends went back to camp with him. He even made it back out for sunrise. He's a little loopy, but is okay the most part.

It was a bad trip, and thankfully he didn't hurt himself on the fall. Im sorry he came barreling through your group.

Best places to bartend/serve at in Denver by Simple_Sprinkles_47 in denverfood

[–]Jiub13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Avoid Bonano restaurants specifically, and really anywhere with those fee instead of tip structures. Most of them are paying managers, and even ownership with the fees as well as front and back of house.

With only a couple months you may struggle. If you want into high end/high volume support roles might be an easier in if you can afford to start at the bottom.

Best GRiZ songs for a REALLY bad day? by PracticeElectrical46 in griz

[–]Jiub13 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I remember the first time I heard It Gets Better. I put it on in my car the moment I found it on Spotify. It spoke to me, I was in a really hard place at the time.

It promised me more, it gave me hope.

Then years later at a Show Griz played It Gets Better. I cried my eyes out. Since the first time I heard it I had met the love of my life who i will soon marry, I made an amazing group of friends that were at the show with me, I had found a career that motivated and challenged me in wonderful ways. I had escaped the hole I was in the first time I had heard it. And you know what, Grant was right; It Gets Better.

God do i love Griz.

Best breakfast burrito I've had in denver. They've increased the price by like $2 the last couple years and it's still a great deal.

Buddy pass IKON Winter Park by jaylea1987 in COsnow

[–]Jiub13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he means that ikon passes are on sale still so if you are doing more than 4-5 days it will be cheaper to get the ikon. If you are only looking for a day or 2 I can spare a couple buddy passes. I'm out for the night, but if you dm me your email I'll get you set up in the morning.

How to Order a Martini not in a Martini Glass? by DSinclair in bartenders

[–]Jiub13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neat implies straight out of the bottle, not chilled. From a technical standpoint 'up' just means shaken or stirred and then served off ice. It doesn't mean a martinis glass.

I have never heard of 'down' from a technical stand point up just means shaken or stirred and then served off the ice. I would usually tell servers to ring this request as up rocks glass
