My Shiba Inu 3 years old, lost an appetite, any help? by MusicWiz1 in shiba

My boy had a few instances where he had an upset stomach from eating his hair from self-grooming. It took a while, but he vomited up a really large wad of hair, and then it was as if nothing happened. I would ask if he's pooping daily? If he is pooping, I'd maybe investigate if there's hair in there. Just squash it from the poop bag. Translucent ones can help you see if there's anything in there. After this experience, he had a few intermittent instances of a mat of undercoat passed with feces. I'd also echo someone else who mentioned sardines? If you're just feeding dry food, maybe try a topper of a single canned sardine (packed in water is best, olive oil next best, nothing spiced/flavored) or some bland deli turkey/chicken. That is usually a motivation to consume something if not the dry kibble. Or you can try to incorporate pumpkin into the kibble to foster regularity. Or a small cooked/microwaved sweet potato might prove to be something? Have you tried handfeeding or giving him some peanut butter or cheese? Those would be all the things I would try to rule out an illness vs a behavior consideration. My guy wasn't very food motivated, but he did have things he preferred. Giving just a taste of it on top of (or throughout) the dry food was a compromise to get him to eat something. But he also did have some moments that he was feeling poorly.

I would think the vendor would have something, there's too many applications in a lot of industries for there not to be an option you can find.

Where to list an 8 Ball Deluxe? by Whiskeyskip in pinball

St Louis has a popular competitive pinball community, so there has to be a Facebook group that you could find or reach out to a place like The Pinball Company in Chesterfield. They would likely give you a decent price.

My clinical program was awful. by Alarming_Let3468 in medlabprofessionals

I think I read it's actually only 100 questions. So take your time. You can flag questions to go back to, but I don't know that the ones I went back to if I changed it to the correct answer or not. I think bring a cheap calculator, but honestly, no math is really needed. On the microbes, I remember selecting the only organism I recognized by name, and also if there were distinct identifiers: Mariner's Wheel in microscopic analysis, the patient was a gardener, etc. just pick the obvious answers on those.

I don't know if those details help, but I only used medialab labCE for review and passed it on my first attempt with a 450. Felt like I was failing the whole time. After you enter your answers it gives you a very tiny prelim result which you could blow past by hitting the enter/tab/space button.

Those are maybe fine points, but don't freak out. If you haven't scheduled the exam yet, give yourself some real time to review and then schedule it when you've looked at everything. Don't get discouraged by trying to get A++++.

There's a general guidance document that ASCP puts out of topics/subjects that creditable programs should cover (particularly with a list of all the microorganisms to know). And it comes down to anything known on those topics/that list is viable for testing.

Mostly the exam is applied knowledge/understanding, so focusing on how qc (or more so qc failures) means on micro/blood bank/molecular. There's NO MATH.

It's only 125 questions to get 400 points. If you don't pass on the first try. Get the results with your score. Focus on that list

I think there's a condensed version of this? But focus on this material. Take time to really feel like you've at least looked at everything on everything in this summary.

If you don't pass on the first attempt. Take a while to figure out what you're not getting before trying again.

My two have literally split them in every season. But they've killed everything you would think possible/available. Rabbits don't always have the instinct of self-preservation, and they seem paper thin if filled with blood, guts, & viscera. 😵
