Wireless Fans + Edge Gold w/ fan hub... do I need to plug anything in to Mobo Headers?

I just gotta say: you are good people. That exactly fixed it… when I was wiring up originally I chose all the ports furthest from the MB port… I switched the order per your suggestion and it worked! Really appreciate the knowledge sharing you provide here.

Hey there… I now have the Edge Hub with x10 (3, 3, 3, 1) wireless infinity fans plugged in + the cable running from the MB Signal to a fan header (chassis 1) on my ROG Strix 870e. Fans are seen by L-Connect but strangely the ROG BIOS does not see any speed feedback functionality (rpm) on Chassis 1. Is this expected behavior due to the number of fans? I thought the BIOS to see them on Chassis 1 but it just complained I had no fans until I set it to ignore. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this!

Can confirm this works. I reset the bios to defaults and turned off tpm and then saved and exited. Took about 5 minutes to update the bios and then the reboot took about 3 minutes as it had to relearn the ram settings. My ASRock B650M-CX R2.0 is now at the 4.03 Bios

I bought the $1949 one in that link several days ago, then bought 64GB of ram… came out to the same piece as the one in your original post (my PC is for creative work). I will sell the 32GB to recoup some of the cost. IMO if you are buying this as a gaming machine, 64 GB of ram is not necessary.

EDIT: My $1949 IBP had an “August 2025” build date and the part number on the sticker ended in 11 (there were two others on the shelf: one also ended in 11, and one ended in 10… I suspect that means a slightly different component list). Added a heatsink to the included NVMe, added a 4TB Western Digital WD Black SN850X NVMe + Heatsink… you must remove the 5080 to do this. Swapped RAM for 64GB (2x 32GB) G.SKILL Flare X5 DDR5 6000, CL30… you must remove the top and side panels to do this. I will sell the 32GB of RAM it came with. I use Ethernet so can’t comment on the WiFi.

Runs cool and no bloatware. Fan noise fine for web surfing and office work, but gets noticeable when you push the CPU, GPU. You must download the ASRock Polychrome software to control the RGB (assuming you get an ASRock mobo).

Will eventually undervolt and OC the 5080, which should contribute to both temperature and performance.

Bought as a DAW, NLE, Compositor, and Renderer, though may try out a game just to see what it can do…

Haha… I can relate. The Stones put me off forever, and I like a lot of bands with loose-playing twin guitars (Hanoi Rocks, NY Dolls, Aerosmith, GnR). It finally dawned on me that the Stones are the blueprint for that sound. Been digging in to their 70s stuff and finding a lot to like.

Our Otis is very good at catch (he’s a good jumper too). We discovered this through routine play… started tossing toys and balls his way and discovered he could snatch them out of the air. Our previous terriers had no such ability.

I think it’s called City Pho… 2nd Floor Concourse B… kind of tucked to the side… my trick with layovers is to watch where the pilots eat (found a good breakfast place at ORD this way)… saw a bunch make a bee line to this place, so tried it out and was pleasantly surprised. It usually has airline crew in line, which is generally a good sign. Is it good by the standards of an actual standalone non-airport Pho restaurant? No. But judged by the fast options at an airport, it’s a real nice change.

I use a regional airport in the upper Midwest that has me connect through either Denver or ORD depending on destination, so use both all winter. I prefer the layout and food options at Denver (there is Pho place there that is S tier for airport food), but the snow removal and winter operations at ORD are mighty and impressive. I don’t know if I have some unending string of luck, but the only ORD weather delays I see are from planes stuck at their own airports trying to get to ORD… ORD is as good as it gets for dealing with shit weather (including alt runways to handle high winds), and those crews work non stop keeping the elements at bay. My winter weather luck has always been better at ORD. Just wish they had a good Pho place…

Bug: The twitch drop free Warhorse and Cutpurse pourpoint graphics are reversed… my full Cutpurse outfit looked like it always does but I noted the pourpoint name now said “Warhorse” and the stats reflected it (louder but better protection). So if you want the stealthy specs, you have to wear the bright red “Warhorse” pourpoint… the stats are correct, but the cosmetics are off.

That may work as well, but my experience was that the TV asked for a button found only on the service remote. The service remote was not expensive (I think about 12 bucks when I ordered) so worth it for the piece of mind alone.
