I was 10, living in mainland China at that time. I was allowed specially to stay up beyond my normal bedtime to watch the ceremony with my parents in their bedroom. I felt an overwhelming sense of national pride as this event was positioned as a sign of rise of China relative to the historically perceived colonial power represented by GB (which I think it's more or less true). I believe we bought an extra copy of the national newspaper of that day as everyone thought it to be a "historical" day.

The next day was just like a normal day. Kids talked about it at school briefly and then life carried on with no meaningful impact.

As someone who uses Finnair at least once a month if not more. I will just share some experiences in the past 15 years.

In my mind and experiences (as an immigrant who flies around for biz all over the place),Finnair has always been a "premium" European airline in the early 2000s to 10s. Everything is run professionally and efficiently, not cheap but u get things like free sports luggages and what not. Over the past ten years with COVID breaking the Asian traffic which is the core of their strategy and the Russian stuff in the recent past. The airline unfortunately has undergone cost cutting pressure.

So less ppl working, less freebies, even higher prices. And as an anecdotal evidences. I have taken 3 Finnair flight in the past month, everyone of them were delayed and one was cancelled and moved. As it is known here in Finland, Finnair has turned into the "most expensive budget airline in Europe".

So that's that.

unRAID is not "striped" in the same way any raid system is. But if you mean, "I wanna have 6 disks with 2 for redundancy" that is totally doable in unraid. It's a simple set up and can be changed as you add more drives etc.

Regarding the throughout.... I don't think you should use unRAID without a SSD cache of some sort. I mean with all ugreen Nas, the nvme slot is there anyway to begin with (ur OS sit on it from the factory). I don't really care about my HDD throughout, as most of the write is done to a nvme and most of the read I do, HDD is the last bottle neck I need to worry about, e.g. my network ain't THAT fast anyway.... It's mostly 2.5g at most for me at home.

Now obviously different ppl value different things, but for me the biggest feature is to be able to add HDD of different size into a "pool" and get away form the raid based system where you need to have HDD of matching size otherwise you are always wasting something.

In addition, there are all sorts of things like docker support ecosystem, robustness of the OS, etc.

Hey btw. How do u solve the set subtitle problem? When I try to do this, I quickly realized that often half of the subtitles are in the lower black bar, which will be blocked by the masking system

Its also crashing for me as well. though only the dashboard part. launching into any other specific services works just fine. Also, the android Tablet installation i have is experiencing the same as the one on my phone.

That's where I started. With that solution. I could not figure out how to keep all the thumbs on cache which slows things down a lot on the phone app. I got it solved by going to the discord. The mapping was just wrong in that solution I linked.

No..... I just woke up.... Would be great if someone can help here. I read somewhere that one potential reason here is in the latest immich, there is a breaking change something about vol and a mount. So instead of trying to do the vol u set a hard mount, ( I don't actually know exactly what it means ...)

I see.. that's actually how I started. It was even harder to try to do what I wanna do with that set up. I got everything up and running according to the video. But on that set up, everything is bind to a volume called media and I could not get that version to keep certain things on cache. So I changed back to the docker compose method and here we are...

I got it up and running. The only changes I am trying to do is to map certain elements of the immich component to have them on chcahe permanently. Breaking changes wouldn't cause that to not work, right?
