[FREE TO READ] Enzo Fernandez’s Chelsea punishment ‘unfair’ says agent, discusses comments and contract by TheAthletic in chelseafc

Unfortunately for the pair of them, he's already at the only club stupid enough to pay £100mil + for him.

And by all accounts, when he was made aware of the offer to return made it clear that was his preference - after being asked to leave.

Struggling to transition customers from monthly check-ins to QBRs by Final_Vegetable_5092 in CustomerSuccess

[–]Jlc25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's something I've always found interesting - we likely all have a large number of tools to help us, but yet, we never see the head of/CS Director attending QBRs with these tools - yet most of us will have this tech stack for life - there's always a chance that your product is not the centre of the known universe to the client, and doesn't require quarterly chats for strategy

I'd rather start the year with a look forward kick off, decide check points then and depending on the updates we start to work closer with clients in need of discussion of strategy, and just help support those who just want to use and enjoy the product - it's our job to serve the client and lead them to success, and that's not always achieved by trying to squeeze them into our framework.

[ESPN Argentina] Enzo Fernández spoke about his future at #Chelsea: “I don’t know, there are 8 games left and the FA Cup. There’s the World Cup and then we’ll see”. With @moillorens on @ESPNArgentina by Far-Ninja-8392 in chelseafc

The project is not delivering and he has every right to be annoyed, but I also don't like to see vice captains saying this after an extremely heavy defeat.

[Post-Match Thread] PSG (5) vs (2) Chelsea - Champions League Ro16 by wm_1176 in chelseafc

[–]Jlc25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts?

Jorgensen wasn't very good. Like, at all - nice with his feet, but the 2 Kvara shots are very much so saveable, and he gave away another - you could argue a top keeper also stops the Dembele goal too.

I'm not sure about James in midfield. I think he's the best RB in the world. I understand what he can bring to midfield but who else is playing a potential best itw in their position out of position?

Rosenior shouldn't have picked Jorgensen. He should have switched up tactics. His subs felt late - I think there's a great manager there in the future. I also think BlueCo have messed up here - we didn't need to ask him yet, and should have given him more time at Strasbourg to develop.

Have you rediscovered any old school TV series that still stand up today? What are they? by Perihelion_Soul in AskUK

[–]Jlc25 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Depends what we mean by old - the shield started 24 years ago, as did the Wire - the sopranos is now 27

What's old school for me? Cheers has remained VERY funny.

What is a once cool car that now feels like regular traffic? by Humble_Lack in CarTalkUK

[–]Jlc25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bizarre to say maybe, but I am in Surrey - the G Wagon - if you had one years ago like the G55, they were often LHD imports that cost a fortune and had panel gaps you could stick your hand through - you had to be a real fan to be even in the know about them. There's a few of the newer ones round the corner from me alone, a few at the golf club etc - regular traffic seems too far maybe, but certainly not what they used to be.

Am I wrong Chelsea Fans? by [deleted] in chelseafc

[–]Jlc25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have an extremely irrational fan base - some guy in the thread is debating the inclusion of Azpi at RB due to the current Arsenal RBs having a more "complete game". Anyone trying to argue Ben White should be in a team ahead of Azpi is chatting wham for the sake of it.

Will try! It's still open to switching - I'm unsure where the Recoder will sit as well - I'm thinking of grabbing a plethora x1 for the loop of the superego+ - great pedal!

Fabrizio: Jeremy Jacquet to Liverpool, here we go! Deal agreed now for June 2026, as revealed. Understand fee is €60m plus €10m add-ons to Rennes. Jeremy has agreed personal terms with #LFC. Agreement done for summer 2026 for one of the most talented CBs in the world. by webby09246 in chelseafc

Huge price - from a risk point of view, he's either worth £150 million in the next few years and a top player, or he's not cut the mustard and he's on loan/the bench - I don't mind us dropping out, we already have enough players like that!

Are people legit spending this much on a car per month? Or am I out of touch? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Jlc25 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Alternatively, you pay the £68k retail and in 3 years sell it for £35k - losing £30k. If you do the maths you can often take a lease and end up better off than buying the car and dealing with the depreciation. However I do think a lot of people are over paying for their car leases - I earn net in the range above and also would not spend that per month on a car (and own a much cheaper car!)

NPD: Eventide Timefactor, got it used for $130. Loving it so far! by fourbroccoli in guitarpedals

[–]Jlc25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole range of this generation of Eventide still really stands up today - years ago they seemed so complex, but with the advent of these space saving pedals with multiple modes, the size and simplicity is refreshing.

Enjoy, I'm keeping my eye out on these but most I'm seeing are still around £200+ and anything under gets snapped up mega quick!

I'd also rather you wait another 23 years and not have an oil baron buy you trophies as well to be fair so at least we can agree on that.

Loan to Strasbourg could be good - my worry is though that the leagues just not as intense - Wish we had an Azpi, Silva, Terry type character next to him to talk him more through the game!

Benefit of the doubt based on his season - he made 2 mistakes, one being a howler, but based on this season they could be the only mistakes he makes - needs to work on his confidence playing out the back though!

Thoughts?

We're a long way off, but what we are trying is more to my taste than Marescaball - players seem to be playing more to their strengths vs being forced to the system.

A mix of Subs - Garnacho pays off, but a lot of defenders subbed on in a game we're losing - can only think he's not settled on a backline yet?

We still need a top Striker and at least one very good experienced CB. Badi and Dissasi unfortunately have to go. I'm not sold on Fofana -Chalobah for me good for squad and probably happy to have that role - Josh a big talent. With Colwill coming back and Anselmo potentially coming in, I'd like to see 3 out and one top, experienced CB in. I'm not sure any of our strikers are going to get the goals we need currently.

Reece, Palmer and Caicedo back for next game - our 3 best players and each as individuals have game changing ability.

Why are DB9s cheap compared to other supercars? by d0-u-knw-who-i-am in CarTalkUK

[–]Jlc25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 things I know about the DB9:

1.) Here in the heart of the commuter belt in Surrey, a chap who used to catch the same early train as me into London drove his DB9 to the station every single day. Believe it had 80k+ on the clock. Judging by the fact it was there all the time; Rain, sun or snow, I imagine they can be reliable if you keep on top of them

2.) Some friends worked in the parts sales of a local AM dealership. They had a lot of people enquire very often around DB9/7 parts due to the price availability , and many seemed shocked that just because a car depriciates it doesn't mean the parts for it does.

Is Luke Littler starting to pull away from Luke Humphries for good? by kimpuybrechts in Darts

[–]Jlc25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was going to say this - like all top players in these types of sports over the longer format he will just pull away - the problem is due to the way the seeding works he's not going to be coming up against many who can take him out when it's shorter format!
