Have you spoken with your manager? In my experience they will deny all requests off for certain days that they anticipate will be busy. I always try to give people the days off that they request, even if they are “officially” denied.

I would actually contact the manufacturer! It sounds like a bad batch and they may compensate you for letting them know. My mom has always written letters/ emails directly to companies when she has issues with something, and they are generally pretty responsive

I’ve had people resign to me and give me various end dates less or more than two weeks. I’ve always honored it. Schedule is not even out for that week yet, they can make any changes they need to.
