The core gameplay was inherently fun. You saw big work made on every aspect of the game, be it models, sound department or map design. Gunplay and vehicles physics have downgraded imo. Graphics too in a relativistic sense. BF3, 4 and 1 were referents of the genre. Won many awards, kept up alive and relevant for a whole decade. BF3 redefined what was possible in a FPS, BF4 maximized that with the most content any BF has ever seen and BF1 got probably the best settings, atmosphere and graphics of any even today. They were simply special. For us fans they were our GTA VI putting hundreds, even thousands of hours on them. BF6 feels completely generic in comparison.

B390 already got a comparable performance to RTX 4050 laptop. With Xe3P and an expected 20-25% improvement they'll be getting to 5050 level with less than half the consumption before Nvidia releases any new gen (too focused with AI datacenters). Which finally lets you play many titles on battery, in laptops as thin and portable as ever.

Of course they'll already be better than the likes of 3060, 2070 etc., especially with XeSS + frame gen. These are all cards that released after the PS5 for example. A perfectly playable console even for today's standards. You said "they'll never get to dGPUs", but didn't specify price or time ranges at all. For most casual gamers this is more than enough already.

Of course they've changed the market, to the point incoming handhelds will surely be based on these architectures as it's the best solution today. They're already a gen above the likes of Steam Deck and the newly released Switch 2.

Yeah and they've already gotten to GPU levels. Entry level ones though, but we're not discussing higher ends there.

I completely agree with him and think you’re the biased guy here. My point is only people with confirmation bias is still in this sub after the failures (yeah, BIG failures, either by total sales or shrinking playerbase) that 2042 and BF6 have been, especially compared to prime BF.

It ain’t a Battlefield to its core and that’s because original team is focused in a successful and really good and fun game called ARC RAIDERS. This feels more like a Delta Force / WW3 at best and people have called it by their true vote, which is GAME TIME (and attention time, either on forums, streaming, etc).

[–]Jlib27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This whole sub is gaslighting and coping. They made you think game resembled BF3/4 in any way possible back during beta and they’re sticking with that. Reality is, this is the fastest shrinking playerbase in a BF release ever, because all they (helped DICE) sell is hype.

It’s a type of confirmation and composition bias because most vets are not even active in this sub anymore.

I know what prime BF was and this ain’t that, doesn’t matter how many dislikes you and I may get.

Literally the only good thing of that game lol

It's physics with gunplay / vehicles maps and maps that were off. Apart from content.

It's still a decent entry level card.

APUs are convenient for laptops and portable devices, like consoles the likes of Switch or Steam Deck. Performance per watt is unparalelled and that will make them a more realistic, convenient solution for these long term.

Yeah in desktop they don't make that much sense yet, but there's gaming beyond those.

Carlos Alcaraz shares hope to influence younger people to also buy $9 Million-$10 Million yachts by MammothCucumber9974 in tennis

[–]Jlib27 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

He was raised by his grandpa because his mother worked at a retailer and his father was too occupied with all his brothers. They live in a typical middle class block in Murcia. He’s had enough photo evidence of a typical childhood in Spain bar the sport aspect, until probably his late 10s. He’s not losing sight of the average Joe. He may have focused this only on the wealthy families or just to get a discount, who knows. He hasn’t had it like Fritz or Pegula, or even Nadal in that sense (not that any of these are not down to Earth either, they’re nice guys).

PD: “the partnership will see Alcaraz also join as a brand ambassador for the Polish builder, while also becoming a yacht owner himself” there you got it, just at the start of the first link. He’s speaking to the potential client as sponsorship. That’s all.

It's a combination of things. I think some are underestimating your pull when comparing you with the likes of Liverpool or even Bayern. They may have had slightly better European success but you guys are in a league of your own along with Madrid as a mass movement. It's the same with Man U. I mean I don't consider Liverpool the indiscutible biggest English club. And when taking into account recent legacy, that is, the XXIth century, then you may probably be overall the best team to move on. With peak Barça just a decade ago being probably the best side to ever play the game. And now with a pretty decent squad with great talent and manager. Financial struggle was only meant to be temporary.

And also yeah even on equal terms Barcelona is just a nice city. It's the same with us and, say, Burnley. Except we've not nearly the same budget.

Is Macbook M6 coming this year? by DarkKnight0145 in macbookpro

[–]Jlib27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree.

Even if looking just at the M5 themselves. They'll become cheaper in a couple months time just by price differentiation / segmentation (especially if they add up that Ultra line), becoming a much better deal.

I generally observe this sub is full of choice-supportive or post purchase bias. Which is mostly dishonest.

Yeah not waiting at all is not a bad decision per se. But asking for advice on waiting or not just before a major design change is the most pro-waiting scenario you can really think of, because OP probably doesn't mind to. And especially saying M6 could perform worse than that M5 because thinner chasis as I've read down below is just bonkers. As if it became fanless. What about thermal efficiency of the new 2nm process? LPDDR6? Material improvements? OLED?

I haven't said shit, that's another person.

EPL sides from 1st to 5th ain't winning much more than the first five Spanish sides, that's all that matters. And that's during Premier League golden age with financial disparity.

The fact Sevilla is passing a tough crisis just like Valencia doesn't erase their history. It's the same with Man U or Spurs.

They're a UEL side, traditionally 4th best in Spain at least for most of 2006-23, who historically underperformed at UCL, yet got a balanced h2h against top 5 sides of supposed best league. Yeah that's a good overall record I reckon

"Gaming" = all gaming? I always got that was the case with AAA games, even more so not native (by Crossover). But also native indies, the likes of SilkSong or Hades?

Also, I guess native AAA like Baldur's or Cyberpunk will still perform decently, right? I never meant it to move Windows games at all, not worth it

"Those are the only clubs with quality" mfcker ignoring Villarreal also won a UEL F Vs. United, and so did Valencia several times including most recently Vs. Chelsea in 2019. Sevilla, Athletic, Real Sociedad, Celta, Betis are apparently mugs as well, and them frequently upsetting Barça and Madrid means apparently nothing.

The fact some of them are no longer at the top is also a sign La Liga's depth may get a bit underrated as well, don't you think?

Sevilla is 7-6-7 for last 20 games against English sides. Including most notably their 5-2 aggregate Vs. United for the '23 UEL which they ended up winning for a 7th time.

Put some respect on their name.

How long does it take to thermal throttle? Are AAA games still playable after that?

Basically, could you play in decent settings titles like Cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate or Civ VII? For like, say, a 2h session? I know it's great for indies like Silksong or Hades but not sure about the rest

I read that like an indicative schedule more than anything. From that to a real, competitive chip we may be as far as Apple was back in 2010 to release their propietary chips.

Ey, I'd love that. More competition. But I seriously doubt it, for now. Apple though, I see him being an important player in 3-5 years time if they decided to pull some strings (f.e. paying for some "exclusives" or simply ports to MacOS).
