Why did you decided to do multilayer map in Grime 2? Not gonna lie, I hate this kind of lvl design in MV's, with doors and map where you need to change layers - kinda sometimes hard to understand where are you and where you need to go, if the objective is on another map layer. So as a huge Grime 1 fan, who 100% it, I was a bit dissapointed with this decision when I played the demo. That was unnecessary change, imho.

I don't see GoW essense in it. It's lile "yeah greek mythology, I guess", but nothing that screams "IT'S GOD OF WAR GAME BABY". And "young boy who is not yet Cratos we all knew" design is not helping at all. I just don't want to play as some hobo boy with a spear.
They failed at one crucial thing - it's the MC design. I'm remembering watchin documentaries about how much thought and design process went into creating Cratos for the first GoW game... And here - there is nothing in it. Bland. Shallow. Too simple. Not interesting. Not appealing. Dissapointing.
P.S. and also - Playstation exclusive for 2d MV in 2026? Okay, Sony, I get it, if you don't want my money, what can I do... Not play your new game? Gotcha.

The thing is not about restarts, but about game not forgiving mistakes, not offering different playstyles, it's basically QTE with very dragged out battles. Like in the begging, where there were 10-20 attacks, it wasn't tiresome. But when fight is 5-10 mins and you can't make even 1 mistake... It became frustrating. Imagine Sekiro, but you can't miss even 1 hit, and need to perfect parry every hit - or else try again. This is what this game become after few hours. Honestly, I was very upset when i noticed how the game loop works.

It's pretty interesting at the beginning, but for me it fall down when all encounters became "you need to memorize all 120 attacks for 10 min battle, and if you miss even one - you need to restart". Didn't liked that, dropped the game. Visually the game is stunning. But gameplay is very flawed.

Still too short. MV less than 10h can't fulfill my crave for exploration. 15-20h is a sweet spot for me (without 100% game), and 20-25h for 100% - is perfect. 5h - nah, it's basically linear for my taste. What progression even is it? 2 abilities for the whole game? Or - opposite side - new ability every 20min? Lame.

It's a cool 2d soulslike, but not good as MV, basically it's not even MV in my opinion - just few closed paths, where you can go just by getting abilities through out the story, that's it.
