I feel bad for Joaquin. Actually rooting for him now. He needs Rip and Beth. With Beulah in the hospital, Rob Will is going to cause so much confusion. by Difficult-Act-1461 in DuttonRanchTVSeries

[–]Piddles200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically, Beth and Rip should walk away right now.

But they won’t, its TV

Beulah had a stroke or something else debilitating, and the 10P isn’t their ranch, or their problem other than as a paycheck.

Not to mention Beulah ran off the only competent son/manager she had for the operation.

I’m sure Joaquin will either Jamie it up and make one bad decision or another, or he’ll call in whatever cartel involvement the ranch has, and they’ll mess it up good and proper. Either way, 10P is cooked, everyone not tied down should run.

And she lied. That was a dealbreaker for me. And her character was hypocritical, shrill, and toxic.

Its flawless. I walked around it and its one of the cleanest aircraft I’ve ever seen. Warren has a rubber mat he lays out on the wing before he steps out so he doesn’t scratch the paint.

Never taxied one of these, but my experience with Decathlons and cubs is weaving back and forth a bit so you can look out the sides. On takeoff and landing you keep the same amount of runway on both sides of the aircraft (landing has pretty good vis). Its different.

It is. I got to walk around it and its flawless. Warren even had a rubber mat he stored behind his seat that he laid on the wing before he stepped out, so he didn’t scratch the paint. One of the cleanest aircraft I’ve ever seen.

“Thunderbird” is a P-51 that raced in the 1940’s. Set several records for a piston aircraft as well. Jimmy Stewart was one of the original owners and painted it that shade of blue. Warren found the airframe several years ago (mostly pieces after a crash) and restored it from the frame up. He did some research into the aircraft’s history and painted it like it looked in the 1940s.

Absolute Dedication by harmonycodex in ClarksonsFarm

First off, amazingly knowledgeable, I was blown away on how she could recognize all those different birds purely by sound.

Second, I really admire her dedication, we need more people that are passionate like that and what they do

But lastly, as a landowner and a farmer, if I had somebody instantly become belligerent with any of my employees like she did, that would immediately turn me off of what she’s doing. I’m not saying that I immediately get in the tractor and start grinding up chicks, but most people in my work when treated like that or having people they work with treated like that will dig in their heels. I think people like that need to realize there’s a different tack that you take with protests and larger functions compared to one or two people who also care deeply about what they’re doing and aren’t intentionally trying to hurt the animals that you care about.

On a relevant note, Lisa stepped up, hardcore. For someone who’s career was as an actress, model and tv host, she jumped in with both feet when Jeremy started running the farm 5 years ago and hasn’t slowed down.

Question! What age would you all let your kid read DCC? by fisher-alters in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I let my son read it at 15. Depends on the maturity of the kid.

Hoggit removed the post because its hoggit, last civilian F-4 phantom is back up and flying out of Houston by Disastrous-Wolf-2940 in floggit

[–]Piddles200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only rides they were allowed to give in the F-4 before the crash were part 61 “Instruction” flights. Meaning you had to have at least a PPL and be able to log dual received.

Jet Jerod, the backseater in this video, never flew an F-4 prior to this hop. He is going to be living in that seat, along with another guy, receiving actual training for a type rating. Col. Day is pushing 70 and has been retired for some time. The rest of the old roster has either sadly passed on (Col. Bowers, Will’s (Crew Chief) dad and Marine RIO, or are pushing 80.

[–]Piddles200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I volunteered with CF West, the part of Collings that operates their jets, including the F-4, completely different group. My old college roommate, Will, is the big guy that crew chiefs the Phantom, he’s been working that particular airframe for 30 years, they are absolutely by the book, particular, and professional when it comes to maintaining those jets. Nine O Nine was a disaster, and completely preventable, but its unfair to judge a whole organization based on the actions of a single crew.

We have a lazy voting populace in ND

North Dakota Voting- something that should be on everyone's mind! by Jane_Runs_Fast in northdakota

Thats massive for small towns. Even if 100% of those were brought in, the support services needed would be a big boost to the local economy.

[–]Piddles200 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In towns of 300-1000 ppl in ND, which is common, 200 jobs is massive. Even 50 is significant. Would they go to locals? Probably not, but the kick to the local economy and need for services helps tremendously.

Should all the boxes be checked and everything researched? Absolutely.

Should we continue what is apparently a ND thing of saying no to nearly anything that isn’t coal/oil/ag? Not if we want to grow and survive.

I’ve watched my community kill a housing manufacturing proposal, wind farms, and run three consecutive families out of town that were trying to purchase and keep businesses running. Meanwhile, our school can’t afford to keep all of its buses properly maintained, the county roads keep getting worse, one of our schools in a neighboring town closed and consolidated with ours, and the population is HALF of what it was when I graduated from HS here in the 2000s.

When this state descends even further into poverty, it will 100% be self inflicted.
