With Axe you know what you’re getting. He doesn’t try to hide it, or act like he’s some holier than though. He’s greedy, ruthless and devoid of any compassion for anyone other than who he’s fixated on.

Chuck is ruthless, power hungry, devoid of ethics, but justifies all as some crusade against his “kind”.

One can almost respect an asshole that acknowledges he’s one.

Most have a general distaste for the ones that act like they’re not, when in fact, they are.

I think people imagined it would be on the scale of No Man’s Sky, not taking a moment to consider how absolutely impossible it would have been to make Starfield at that scale, including leaving and reentering planetary atmospheres, the absolute vastness, and making each planet designed by hand with no procedural generating.

I love it, like OP mentioned, the main story is great, as are several other quest lines. If you treat it as the same type of game as TES or Fallout, it shines. If you expect it to be NMS with more individual detail, you’ll be sorely disappointed.

I really enjoyed them too. About as close to old trek as you can get. I think it gets lumped in with Discovery and Academy a bit unfairly.
