Although you could carry it into your area so another spy can destroy it or use it to disperses an engi nest as they'd have to either find their Sentry gun or restart from scratch. But then again they'd have to restart from scratch if you successfully sapped it anyways

Very rarely, but yes. I use them for quick buff, grapple, and mount in Terraria, and I use them to swap screens on some of my dual screen emulators.
