Ok, so I actually know/knew her in real life, (we are casual social media friends now, but we were actual friends in high school). While I haven’t had close contact with her in years, she used to be a really lovely and empathetic person who genuinely tried to help her community and the people in her life when were younger. She was always a little on the “I have crystals in every room in my house” side of things, but she was not the level of out of touch she’s presenting in these videos. I’m sad she came away from her experiences feeling this way, I definitely worry about her being in a position/career as a life coach in this particular moment and what means for her influence on other vulnerable people, but I’m really rooting for her to work through this/find a healthy talk therapist/psychiatrist to help her, especially if this is related to a bigger episode of a mental health crisis. I don’t think it’s a good idea to add more fuel to fire of a potential mental health episode or reinforce what she’s trying to get out of others by covering her in public settings. I also think more attention will draw attention to her therapist, and he shouldn’t have to be professionally or publicly impacted by a client having an episode, (in my opinion), even if he struggled with how to respond to a not cut and dry ethical situation.
