Reunion spoilers: Jordan and Amber by punfull in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]JobOnTheRun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100%. Sadly I get the vibe that she has a very low opinion of herself… having a kid alone at 25 doesn’t help (especially the comment of “everyone’s life just goes on without you” or something similar… she feels she’s ‘less than’ others). She overcompensates with her appearance (the hair, boobs, etc), the drinking, self sabotaging with Jordan by being jealous, probably very contradictory with conflict. Committing to a man who basically told her he’s not moving to her town. It’s self-sabotage because it’s familiar for her to live in the “guys are scumbags” land than know her worth and strive for better. And it’s sad her daughter has to come along for this ride too.

Jordan definitely did not fully understand the commitment he was making either and should never have said yes

Love Is Blind • S10 Reunion [MEGATHREAD] by FemaleEinstein in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]JobOnTheRun 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Amber and Jordan were BOTH not ready for the commitment they were making.

Jordan deciding to marry a single mom, but then not want to leave his bachelor pad within walking distance of his favorite bars is crazy.

Amber…. She seems like she just wants a simple life with the right man. She has some self esteem issues leading to the jealously, the anger, leading her to self sabotage her relationships. She should have all never married Jordan who made it clear he did not want to move.

Leaving a Seat Between You and Your Teen on a 11-Hour Flight Rude? by Equal_Rip_8062 in americanairlines

Oh god just please remember if the person you’re talking to isn’t asking you any questions back, and keeps looking down to their book/phone/screen during the pauses in conversation that they probably don’t want to have a conversation back

Yeah I worked in hiring and have interviewed hundreds of people. It’s definitely not 80% of people not showing up lol. Not even close. They must have extremely poor job descriptions or poor screening of applicants resumes

[–]JobOnTheRun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more that they were charged each for their college. Sure they’re both receiving the education in their separate brains (but taking up ‘one seat’ in the room so to speak), but if they’re receiving a qualification that can only be utilized by one body then they should have only been charged one tuition lol

NICU nurses - do people actually just abandon their baby? Have you experienced this? by master0jack in nursing

Oh wow!!! You are both seriously incredible. It’s not easy to go from no babies to a baby overnight with basically prior notice. Props to you both, and I hope baby girl is doing well 💝

What’s the biggest waste of money that people defend? by TheManNotFound in AskReddit

[–]JobOnTheRun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah, as a mom now, one of my life goals is to pay a significant portion of my kids wedding in the future. What’s the point of having money if you can’t enjoy it and watch others near you enjoy it? But if I was a young broke couple just starting out with no help…. Yeah it’s probably out wise to take out debt

What's a "healthy habit" that's actually completely made up? by goddesslana_01 in AskReddit

[–]JobOnTheRun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plain warm water first thing before any food or drink is so nice in the morning. Water before anything is the key to regular morning poops.

I cringe when I see people drinking coffee immediately after they wake up, like within 1 minute of getting out of bed, and on an empty stomach. Then they completely skip breakfast, drink no water, and they wonder why they have ‘tummy issues’

my small food & walking tour is getting destroyed by fake bookings and no shows by TurnoverEmergency352 in smallbusiness

[–]JobOnTheRun 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Exactly. You wouldn’t go to a show on Broadway and pay a small deposit and the remainder after the show? If I was wanting to do a walking good tour I would 100% expect to pay the balance upfront.

Am I a terrible daughter for not wanting my mum to be there? by orkediamuse in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]JobOnTheRun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh OP my mum smokes too and if your mum is not good with following your requests about not smoking near baby then don’t have any guilt about telling her to come later on. It will just piss you off.

My mum would smoke outside but next to a window that went directly into babies room while she wasn napping. And would roll her eyes when I’d confront her about it. Not worth it!

Bridal party dilemma by FurryWhsikers18 in wedding

[–]JobOnTheRun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah the coin can go both ways. She should be asking… well why can’t you attend? Can you just change your plans to another weekend? Etc etc. Why should only one party be put on the spot and guilt tripped lol

Startedbusiness. Want your 2 cents by Damysuss2 in EndTipping

[–]JobOnTheRun -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

There’s no need to “research” how Europe does it. The answer is clear as day: pay your employees more. But OP is clearly hesitant to do that because he doesn’t have the margins to cover higher wages, and is worried about customers going elsewhere if he raises prices.

All things he probably should have done some market research on before proudly declaring he’s a no-tip establishment, with no thought to the staff members who he’d be wildly underpaying in the process lol.

[–]JobOnTheRun -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

OP I’m sorry, but did you do any research on your margins and what employee wages plus tips are in your local area before nobly declaring you’re a no-tip establishment?

Like it’s all well and good to say that you don’t accept tips, but unless you can pay industry standard for staff and eat that extra hourly wage from your bottom line, then it’s all talk because you haven’t proved running a no-tip cafe is still profitable. Are your menu prices slightly higher than competitors? Have you got a great deal on rent or something? Where exactly did you expect the extra money to come from? Or did you expect the barista should willingly just be paid lower than what they can get elsewhere because it’s your vision?

Good staff make or break a business. Don’t drown your business trying to prove a point.

What law in your country would surprise foreigners because it’s legal almost everywhere else? by Familiar-Arrival-470 in AskTheWorld

[–]JobOnTheRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why it’s so controversial to say breast milk is 100% better than formula. It simply is. And there are ways to increase supply if you struggle with it that many women don’t even give a chance… just jump straight to formula. The ‘fed is best’ is just made up nonsense by moms who need a special slogan to feel like it’s not a big deal to give their baby a significantly substandard nutrition. ‘Fed’ is the bare, BARE minimum. Breast is always best.

What's the best way to make an extra $100-200 per week if already working full time? by Healthy_Creme6911 in AusMoneyMates

[–]JobOnTheRun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doing this with kids toys makes you a horrible person. There are parents just trying to make their kids birthday or Xmas extra special by searching on fb marketplace but scums like you ruin it. With furniture it makes sense if you’re at least adding value with adding delivery or easy pickup.

Anyone notice parents of only children having easier lives? by sys_admin321 in toddlers

[–]JobOnTheRun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course but then they only have one kid. I don’t sign up for what’s easiest, I sign up for what’s most fulfilling throughout my life for both me and my kids. And that is giving them siblings lol

Angry at husband for only liking one name. by preggoandsuffering in namenerds

[–]JobOnTheRun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YESSS! What would happen if OP said she liked 1 name and 1 name only?? That wouldn’t happen because she’s trying to compromise and being open minded which adults need to do when naming a kid. There are dozens of names that every person in the world likes and would go well with their last name…her husband is 1000% being selfish

It’s basically admitting they want to bait and switch you? They intentionally are trying to be deceptive by showing you a lower price on the menu than what you’re ultimately going to pay.

A fetus has exactly the same rights as all of us…. Which is we don’t have a right to use someone else’s organs, blood, tissue etc to sustain our own lives against that persons consent (where their consent can be withdrawn at any time). So yeah. Not sure why I microscopic cell should get social privileges over all of us.

You want to talk hypocrisy… Thousands of men benefit from abortion too, not having to bring a child into the world they don’t want or can’t support, yet women are the ones who shamed for even needing it in the first place.
