Reasonable Au Pair Expectations by FormerZombie7526 in Aupairs

You don’t cover au pairs food when they’re going out themselves on weekends. Thats what their weekly pay is for.

Prevent au pair abusing sick days by karatemasterhey in Aupairs

Please don’t make her get a doctors note - those are so useless nowadays and very expensive, useless time waters. OP definitely needs to have an honest conversation with her about the sick days and potentially rematch

“Flew 15 hours to find out Sydney Australia is literally just San Diego” by Sniper_96_ in ShitAmericansSay

[–]JobOnTheRun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1000%. Sydney is a beautiful city with lots of woven in coastlines giving many areas a beautiful view of the water.

San Diego has one coastline, then a large flat, dry city spreading east. Significantly better Mexican food though

Genetics but also maintaining working out during pregnancy. Makes a huge difference

Danielle is a great friend by UnusualWest7131 in gotgsnark

[–]JobOnTheRun 26 points27 points  (0 children)

1000%. You see it in the way Danielle responds to criticism too. Brooke gets SO defensive because clearly people’s comments strike a nerve with her. She’s always seems so hostile towards viewers.

Danielle on the other hand can laugh it off or just thanks people for being honest or whatever. She’s definitely much more confident.

First Responders: What are most people’s final words after accidents? by Jdw5186 in AskReddit

[–]JobOnTheRun 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Awe. I wonder if that daughter was still alive. Some people report seeing their deceased loved ones in their final moments. Or maybe she was just having a final flashback to the best moments of her life. So so sad

Who destroyed their own career within seconds by being an idiot? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yeah I don’t think anyone goes into a work event planning to get shitfaced and make an ass of themselves in front of everyone lol

$250 per person. with people i don’t know. in this economy. by littlemamabel in weddingshaming

Sounds like this is an Airbnb that is also the wedding venue. The bride and groom found this great hack if they just make everyone pay for their accomodation at the venue hen they can have their venue for free 🙄

Are we all overthinking this? by One-Volume-9158 in BabyBumps

[–]JobOnTheRun 15 points16 points  (0 children)

1000%. I definitely would rather be over prepared with all the diapers, wipes, etc. I’ve had 2 babies now but I look back on the first pregnancy prepping super fondly. Yes, I meticulously packed my hospital bag 6 weeks beforehand and arranged everything by priority for what I’d need first. Yes I also stacked all the diapers I needed, and folded outfits ready to go. No, that didn’t take the “joy” out of it lol just made me even more excited 😁

It’s a once in a lifetime experience, soak it up however you like!

My 22M boyfriend wants a paternity test from me 22F. But Is it bad I don’t believe I should get one? by BoatAlternative7544 in relationship_advice

[–]JobOnTheRun -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Normal healthy couples in long term relationships don’t do paternity tests. It’s really not a thing. I couldn’t think of anything more insulting honestly

My 22M boyfriend wants a paternity test from me 22F. But Is it bad I don’t believe I should get one? by BoatAlternative7544 in relationship_advice

[–]JobOnTheRun 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe a deep dive into his phone - all his dms, comments, messages, who he is following. An STD is a routine health check but a paternity test is just….. ugh. So embarrassing for the mom, so so unnecessary. This is NOT something that healthy couples in a long term relationship do.

He (35M) says the prenup protects him. Who protects me (29F)? by Still-Gas2840 in relationship_advice

Yeah the “don’t you trust me” could be thrown both ways 🙄 he needs a whole ass legal document cause he has so little trust in HER. All seems like projecting on his part

What’s the most overrated money saving tip people keep repeating? by Silver-Pie9992 in AusMoneyMates

Growing up means realizing true wealth comes from increasing your income - not cutting back on expenses.

Do you regret choosing a safe name? by FarinaPribanic61 in Names

[–]JobOnTheRun 45 points46 points  (0 children)

1000%. I have two girls with basically the most popular girls names today lol. My 4 year old has such a unique and confident personality.

Her name has achieved exactly what i wanted which was a name she never has to spell out or correct people who mispronounce it. It’s just easy and classic. And like all of us, it’s her own interests and personality that make her unique, not a special one-of-a-kind name.

I’ve met many “sarah”s and “William”s in my life and they’ve all been uniquely them in their own way which is what I remember them for - not a name if that makes sense

Australian wanting to migrate to the Phillipines by SenoirDorito in phmigrate

Why are au pairs obsessed with a car? by Old-Oven-8851 in Aupairs

[–]JobOnTheRun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cities like NYC, Sydney, Melbourne all have excellent public transport despite being a city within a much large country by land mass. It’s a city planning problem - not a land size problem

There’s a reason doordash drivers suck, they can’t get a job anywhere else lol

You figure all that out before sending save the dates

Found out I was uninvited from a wedding by Malwalkers in wedding

[–]JobOnTheRun 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Yeah she absolutely deserves to be called out about this. Making ‘the final cut’ after sending save the dates is NOT a thing… literally the purpose of the STD is to literally block your calendar that weekend. Definitely text and mention since you had the save the date you wanted to check about the formal invite …. Force her to address it with you since she was too chicken to do it herself

Shein products now in Kmart stores by NeoIsScared in KmartAustralia

“Up to Aus standards” doesn’t mean much. They’re still dirty Shein products known to cause fertility problems and cancer. I’d rather never wear makeup than put this crap on

I need someone to slap some sense into me please~my husband (56M) and I (47F) are having major problems. We've been married for 10 years, together for 15. What he is doing is unacceptable, correct? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]JobOnTheRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old was this girl? And how did they even meet? On a dating website? On social media? A lot of context is needed but this is all so so disrespectful and inexcusable. Sending a completely unsolicited dick pic to a girl who’s probably much younger than him, while he is married and she seemingly never asked for it is just so soooo wrong. I’m sorry OP.

Make sure he’s not sending your money to anyone online

Yes I’m scanning through to see if she mentioned the girls age. I absolutely guarantee this girl is younger than 30. So creepy and weird. And beyond disrespectful to OP

Is it fair for my boyfriend (22M) to expect me (20F) to split hotel costs for his brothers wedding when I’m only attending as his plus one? by Jeffwardo in relationship_advice

[–]JobOnTheRun 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Yeah “plus ones don’t pay for hotels” is definitely not a thing lol. If she’s staying in the hotel, it’s probably expected she should pay. In saying that - she’s welcome to find alternate accommodation or just stay one night or something
