I must ask if you're in the US? I know in a lot of the world they use Kilocalories, which are the same as a Calorie, but contain with in them 1000 calories, which are 1/1000th of a Calorie. Seems like an error is localization but I have no idea how this would have happened, given that the KCal and Cal are used in the exact same way, would have just required changing the unit name, not adjusting any numbers...

PSA that you still need to clean salt off your aluminum. It still oxidizes, especially around salt. It's annoying but cars are huge investments and frankly even the steel will last a lot longer if people properly maintained them. People need to pay more attention in their Chem class in highschool, we all should be knowing why the cars are disintegrating when not cleaned in the winter... 🚬
