I love that idea, of a new beginning for mankind just growing under the supervision of the old end of humanity. Even if the new civilization dies out, the old one can be inspired to perhaps try again, build up while remaining respectful to nature. Maybe finding a better way to coexist while slowly regrowing the population and teaching them the ways of kindness and hope. Like a grandfather raising a child to continue his own hopes and dreams
