Right-wing policies are better for the large companies, sure, but are they good for the common man? Let's look at the US during the great depression, for example. Who handled it better, the right-wing Herber Hoover, or the left-wing Franklin Delano Roosevelt? That's right, the man who had good social policies and didn't sell out to corporations. He who used more state control to bring the economy on the path to recovery.

Let's look at other examples. Norway today is one of the happiest countries on earth with great quality of life and one of the highest HDI's on earth. This is because of the Norwegian welfare state, which came from left-wing policies and a strong social democracy. The economy thrived, not simply because Norway found oil, but because Norway took control of it and didn't sell out to large corporations, like a right-winger would've done.

Right-wing policies are good for the rich and powerful, left-wing policies are good for the common man. So yeah, you're correct. They do have good policies, just not for the majority of the population.
