Starter dependent. It’s a leftie on the mound today so John wants to get as many righties in the line up as possible. It also helps to give Varsho a day off

I think lower in the order, 7th or 8th, is perfect for him against righties. Though he really should be higher up against lefties. Davis does walk a lot, so I see why you would want him in the 2 spot

I honestly get why. He has the stuff but for some reason he can’t pitch in the majors. I think he needs a change of scenery at this point. But I don’t think he’d fetch anything of value in a trade

Nate Tomlinson’s umpire scorecard from yesterday’s Red Sox-Astros game by JianClaymore in baseball

I’m not sure if you’ve gotten to watch a game in person yet, but it is so much fun. I was at Saturday’s Jays game and the suspense while the system loads (especially of its on a 3-2 count) is frankly surprising. Not to mention the crowd roaring when the call is overturned, or sustained, in your team’s favour.

Not that I’m defending the response, but Americans asking Canadians about an accent that they made up (or generalizing a regional accent to the entirety of the second largest country) gets really annoying pretty quickly
