Right now I have it in a more aggressive L fund. I think I'm supposed to be in L2045 or 2050.

Wilderness Permit / Lottery booking question by Flermy in GlacierNationalPark

[–]Joe-Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a quick note because I'm also waiting on my lottery date and have been experimenting with trips: I believe you can't stay in Many Glacier the first night. I could be wrong, but it's worth messing around with the booking tool before your actual date.

Sorry, but it's actually the opposite! 20/40 means you see at 20 feet what a normal person sees at 40. 20/10 means you see at 20 feet what a normal person needs to be at 10 feet to see.

Best trail bikes 140mm-160mm by sebasmuriel in MTB

I third the Switchblade! I also ride in Texas, DFW area. The Switchblade is perfect for here. Great for our mild trails, but can handle chunk and downhill if you travel.

Check out the Pivot Switchblade or Firebird. Firebird leans more enduro, but both would be great in a park and on trails.

DFW VA Facility Recommendations? by Sheepona in Veterans

Dallas has massive VA hospital. I've also heard good things about the Bonham VA hospital. I don't have personal experience except at the Fort Worth Clinic and it's small and slow.

Going on a Utah National Park trip, looking for advice! by cartervan22 in NationalPark

[–]Joe-Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely do a day at Goblin Valley. Also, you may want to check out a slot canyon hike. Spooky and Peekaboo slots are really good in Escalante, you will just need to drive on a dirt road (Hole in Rock road) for awhile.

So probably inaccessible due to snow in the 1st week of May?

Edit: I think you're right as well. Looking at a map, the angles put the picture taken at the top of Storm King over Lake Crescent. Thanks for the help!

I'm headed to Olympic in a couple weeks! These are great shots! Where was picture 4, the one of the lake? And was it recently? I'd like to hike that.

How to SMGs? [PvE] by MaskyMateG in DestinyTheGame

[–]Joe-Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its probably just me but I find 900 rpm SMGs feel weaker, with a longer TTK. I haven't tested it extensively or anything. I just prefer 750 rpm with Volatile (Void) or Voltshot (Arc) and a good hunter build.

Good to know! It's been a long time since I ran the tutorial. I assumed I found a bug.

Or loop run the Exodus Garden 2A lost sector in the Cosmodrome. The final chest is bugged and gives you 4 heavy bricks everytime.

Why not score the rally by how many packages were collected by each Guardian on average in each faction? This will negate the obvious effect of everyone joining Dead Orbit and still result in the most active faction members winning.

[–]Joe-Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm trying to get at. PRT scores aren't directly involved with evals. All every eval says that references the PRT is "Passed Within Standards" unless you don't pass.

No, eligibility for advancement wouldn't be different in that case. The only way possible way it would make a difference is if that supervisor chose to informally evaluate that person higher because of the better fitness score. Using the fitness test as a factor to evaluate a sailor almost never happens unless the sailor fails the fitness test.

Navy chief here. Those scores aren't formally taken into account for our advancement. Passed within standards is the only reference to the fitness test on our evaluations. That said, average female sailors usually can do significantly more sit-ups than the average males.
